Bringing back the Lizzie

It would be pretty hard to hold off snagging a pair of these. Kick myself every day for never buying Lizzies.

I always hated the Lizzies. Mostly because there awesome but 172 is the size of rockered skis I ride. 172 full camber is easy to big for me. sad story.

Jason i will buy 3 pairs. MAKE IT PLEAASE

And to all the people saying make it stiffer, ARE YOU PEOPLE CRAZY, Go buy a bacon.

The lizzie is perfect because it is that soft, it is not a ski for you get rad on and shred the fingers, its the lizzie, the mountains paintbrush. It could be a maximum of 5% stiffer, anymore would ruin it. Pollard made this ski to butter and dammit i can butter like no other.

The longer length would be freaking awesome, but a lot of testing would have to be done to make it feel like the shorter version, i dont think you could keep the 16m turn radius without making it feel very different. The swing weight would probably get too altered and it would feel too heavy.

Oh pollard doing the art would be ohso sweet, but if that cant happen, then the graphic needs to be kept clean and artsy like all other lizzies.

Lizzies excel in tight tress and soft bumpsUnbelievably maneuverable ski in the right conditions, downright scary on icy stuff tho.

My Lizzies are rockered now and I love them just the same.

I'd definitely buy another pair. Longer would be cool, also a wee bit stiffer.

I have two pair and love them both. My only recommendation would be a tad bit higher tip and tail heights.

Is it really that great of a ski? Not trying to stir shit up, I'm legitimately curious. It's really wide, soft, and fully cambered, right? Sounds really hooky and somewhat useless to be perfectly honest.

Definitely get Pollard back in on it but this should definitely happen those skis were way too much fun. I would be so down to buy a pair of these.

So I just made this in a short amount of time. Is there anything that should be added? I love sea turtles plz lets do this fuk it.

Yes, pretty much, but they dont ski the same.

The longer bacon doesn't have the same p'azaz as the lizzie(i've skied the 172 and 182, and the they just aren't the same skis). Bacons are super sick skis, and i think everyone that would like a stiffer lizzie would love them.

But it isnt exactly a lizzie.

Anyone have a pair of bacons they want to sell me:)?

@obesebunny: The Lizzie is a very special ski, it's not for going mach 10 and crushing icy moguls. It's a short, very soft and turny ski, but it's not hooky, its more surfy like a shortboard surfboard. It's a ski for those downdays were you want to shred the mountain with your friends and take it easy(perfect hangover ski)

It's also a killer park ski if you have a more flowy style were your not really taking stuff super deep or spinning into the future. It butters really nicely and is actually my favorite rail ski too.

I really don't know how to explain it without getting kinda spacy: "like it lets you ski a flowier line through the park" that kind of crazy talk. Its def not for everyone, but try one if you can.

And yes, this ski means a lot to me, i was researching and looking into getting on3p to make one for me last year, but just ended up not being able to justify the amount it would cost.

what would the benefits of a new Lizzie be exactly? it was replaced by the Bacons, EP Pros, the revamped Bacon, and the Opus'.. so other than the personal preference of a non-rockerd soft fat ski, what is there..?

The Lizzy wasn't replaced by the Bacon and EP. It was dropped from the line up. The original Bacon was introduced before the EP/Opus was (back in the day before rockered skis were a thing) and that's what Pollard used as his backcountry jib ski. He used Prophet 130's for bigger mountain stuff. (At least that's what I seem to remember happening. Correct me if I'm wrong).

The Lizzy was always designed to be a park ski and I am jealous of anyone who was/is able to ski them (172 is a little short for someone who's 6'4" and 250+lbs).

Yeah, but Pollard usually rode the Prophet 130s in almost everything I saw him in that was big mountain related.

I'm selling a pair of Lizzie's! Have an ad on craigslist but just saw this thread and thought it wouldn't hurt to mention.

The benefits of a new Lizzie is that the old Lizzie is back.

And for a name, since they were technically called The Elizabeth, just pick up the slang and call her The Lizzie. Mmmmm all this talk makes me wanna take em for a spin.

To make a 182 length and keep the 15 radius and the 110 waist, the tip

and tail would have to be around 150 and 149 instead of 139 and 138.

what isnt there? nobody makes a ski similar to the lizzie, The width the perfect flex, the turn radius, the weight, the swing weight. damn they were perfect.

If I remember correctly, the OG Mothership was developed because Skogen Sprang didn't have a good ski for an upcoming AK trip. I don't think it ever got bigger than 100mm underfoot and evolved

into an all mountain ski as other skis like the Prophets were introduced. It was eventually dropped from the line up, but reintroduced a few years later as a big mountain, charging ski.

Please make this happen, keep the 172 length and make the 182 as similar as possible. I don't think it should be stiffened at all because the softness was what made it cool. I really want to try these skis

Granted I don't know a single fucking thing about ski design, I'm going to go ahead and tell you that this method of thinking is not how it works...

Granted I do know alot about ski design. If you make the running length longer on the ski but keep the same dims the the side cut becomes straighter in order to keep the same mid foot and radius you must extend the contact point on the tip and tail.

150 in the tips and tails seems kinda insane for a park ski. What if the radius was like 16.5 on the 182? What would the tips and tails be then?

Don't be so sure. We'll see what the future brings. Also, the 2015 TC ski(while not as wide) is very soft and somewhat comparable to Lizzies. It's no longer the same as the Anthem.
