Breck pissed me off.

Went to breck over break. All peaks suck except for their bowl. Which i finally got to at 1:00 and was only able to hit a few times before the day was over. How is breck able to say that their peak 8,9,10 actually have black diamonds??? shits weak.
fucken tourist trap. 25 minute lines too. didn't stop at the park though would have, but was b lining it to the bowl.
/rant.

Dude, it Breck. Their known for their park and their park only. Sometimes they have some good spring all mountain skiing but thats about it. If you wanna go somewhere for their natural terrain, snow quality, and steepness go to snowbird, alta, revelstoke, jackson hole, squaw, alpine meadows or whistler.

If you think Brecks only quality is park, you clearly do not live here. we are not as well known as Whistler or Alta, or Jackson hole but we have some quality snow and some terrain if you know were to find it

Peak 7 is fun on a pow day.... But there isn't any gnarly terrain at Breck. The biggest cliff I have found is probably 10-15 feet. The park is really sick though.

I cant even imagine waiting in a line for 25 minutes. Most i have ever waited is probably 10 minutes and wanted to shoot every canadien there.

breck actually isn't terrible if you know where to go. there isn't any super steep or gnarly terrain but its pretty fun on a pow day.

fuck up cunts

breck has some good terrain you just have to know about it and have to be willing to explore

butchers block is a cliff in the windows that is like 15ft and the lake chutes ar e fucking steep as

so quit your bitchin and eat a dick

free room and board! loli didn't really feel like i could use the t bar the whole day either to get back up and going around was basically a waste.

I skied breck last week. first time i've ever skied a real mountain. i had fun. some people forget how to have fun..
now i'm back in minnesota, hitting street rails. thats fun too. i like fun.

Fuck that, if you're willing to hike, Breck has some super gnarly shit. Lake chutes are crazy I dont care what you stuck up Utah motherfuckers say.

i'm not trying to be a nancy, i had a blast out west! just was a little pissed at breck's "black diamonds" that's all. i'd go back out west in a second.

People that hate on Breck just haven't explored enough. "Its too flat, there's no cliffs" SHUT UP. Breck is the shit. It just takes a few seasons of skiing to figure it out.

You just need to know where to go. For example:

1) Lake Chutes and Snow White

2) Chair 6

3) Hike above Mercury to Peak 9 Chutes and Windows

4) Appaloosa Bowl on Peak 10

5) Whales Tail and all of Peak 7

6) Ore Bucket on Peak 7

7) The Burn on Peak 10

8) Horseshoe Bowl, Contest Bowl, Cucumber Bowl

9) Hike Peak 6 for the real cliffs

Please take the time to ski the mountain before you start dogging it. Thanks

true, anything good at breck is not marked with a black diamond trail sign, or else kids like you would come out and get hurt or just push the pow.true, most of brecks good shit you have to hike, above the imperial, the access trail above windows....
true, the park is the best it gets.
true, eheath has the most useless posts, the highest karma obtained with no ski talent, park, pipe or pow. what a joker.

THIS.

And it's so funny you were bitching about the "tourist" lines when you're apart of the fucking problem, tourist. I bet the time you were here you didn't even know what fucking peak you were on. IT'S THE HOLIDAYS, DUMBASS. Every mountain is going to be bad. You wait twice as long in Wisconsin for a run that takes 10 seconds.

When I moved here from Wisconsin I was blown away by Summit and all the mountains here. We are so fucking blessed.

Please stay in Wisconsin with your bad buzzkill attitude. Breck doesn't like you either.

i dont even know how to respond to this. to start, no one should expect super gnarly shit when they are coming to breck. second you clearly had no idea of where any good spots on the mountain are. personally i like tree skiing and there are plenty of fun tree runs. last about the lift lines, yeah they suck, but like someone said thats because of you, the christmas break tourists. yesterday i lapped colorado chair and hit the park, and i never had a person in front of me in the singles line all day

so sorry you had a bad trip, but its super fun this week!

hahah...everything's pretty much been said already. especially after there being 43223432 threads about summit/breck available for your reading pleasure before you went on your break, its hard to understand what you were expecting....

windows is fun for trees but you can get some great stuff on peak seven if you traverse towards the boundary line on a pow day. Or whales Tail

i've skied every run at my hill switch top to bottom, including all the glades. doesn't say much for the technicality of the runs or the size of the "mountain"

Breckenridge is the number one winter vacation destination IN THE WORLD. don't go there over any holidays.
come back in march right after february vacation and you'll be feeling better.

oh fuck, how did i ski it then?

Am i dead?

Went there last year to go skiing for the day and parked in the big public lot, when i came back somebody had stole my ski racks off the top of my car.

Last year during a night comp at my home mountain someone jacked up a car and stole the rims/tires.

What you meant to say is that it just takes forever to get to any of the decent terrain.

Maybe after 4 years of riding summit county then moving to Tahoe you would realize that the terrain isn't that good.

Don't get me wrong, I love skiing Breck but the crowds just make it unbearable at most times.

if you wanted good terrain with no lines shoulda went to abay. some great chutes directly under pali chair. and fun cornices in montezuma

exactly what i did. went to breck from march 6th to the 10th, longest i had to wait in a line was around 5 minutes, they got some fresh pow, i hiked the lake chutes and had SO much fun skiing them. lots of cool locals who said towards the end of march, the place gets swamped. i definitely went at the right time.

Make the journey a little further down I-70 to Vail, Beaver Creek, Steamboat (to name a few) and you won't be disappointed

ALPINE MEADOWS FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
