Box Made of PVC Pipes = Bad for Switchups?

I've recently build a box with PVC as the top surface, but there's a small gap between each pipe so I could save the cost of buying extra pipes. I'd say the gap is about 2". Will this make my skis catch on the PVC while doing switchups?

You'll be fine, it'll just force you to commit to the full switchup.

I dont think the entire freeski/snowboard community would use pvc for the vast majority of their rails and boxes if it weren't good to switch up on.

lol didnt read. if you are talking about putting pvc end to end, put them as flush together as possible. 2 inches is a deadly gap, but doable.

Yeah but my PVC pipes have 2" of space in between each one... and the entire freeski/snowboard community doesn't have that space inbetween

switchups should be fine but surface swaps would be awkward unless you really commit
