werd. Member Apr 25, 2013 #1 I've recently build a box with PVC as the top surface, but there's a small gap between each pipe so I could save the cost of buying extra pipes. I'd say the gap is about 2". Will this make my skis catch on the PVC while doing switchups?

Randy_Quench Active member Apr 25, 2013 #4 I dont think the entire freeski/snowboard community would use pvc for the vast majority of their rails and boxes if it weren't good to switch up on.

Randy_Quench Active member Apr 25, 2013 #6 lol didnt read. if you are talking about putting pvc end to end, put them as flush together as possible. 2 inches is a deadly gap, but doable.

werd. Member Apr 25, 2013 #7 Yeah but my PVC pipes have 2" of space in between each one... and the entire freeski/snowboard community doesn't have that space inbetween

werd. Member Apr 25, 2013 #8 hahah no problem. I may just buy some more pipes and fill them in between the gaps
miroz Active member Apr 25, 2013 #9 You'll be fine. PVC is the shit. Also, build-a-jib cult for ideas if you haven't already.
Ray. Member Apr 25, 2013 #10 switchups should be fine but surface swaps would be awkward unless you really commit
