I mean for fucks sakes I'm against tighter gun restrictions for law abiding citizens, I live in a very loose state and still hate the magazine restrictions, too bad I lost all of my magazines in a tragic boating accidentbut I still believe something needs to be done to keep ARs and glocks out the hands of psychos and gangbangers. Who disagrees?
Also to whoever posted about 3D printers firing high-tech guns, if you mean inaccurate single-shot plastic derringers, then yeah that's pretty high-tech

Srs questions, what is the price of illegal US guns relative to legal US store-bought and has covid effected the black market pricing? Because gun supply went way down and scarcity went way up legally, driving prices way up. I figure the same would happen on the black market if certain factors (legislation) reduced the illegal transfer of legally bought guns to criminals. Again I’m against gun laws, just want to talk this out

Republicans and the NRA spent millions fighting in courts and through lobbyists years ago to remove any gun control laws that were proven to make straw purchases along the border virtually impossible.

If weed were remade illegal to sell in dispensaries and seeds were again impossible to obtain online, black market prices would go back up. The same thing happened with legal firearms when covid started. Demand increased, supply decreased, and prices boomed. I believe that the post-covid legal firearm economic model can be used to predict the price of black market firearms if supply were decreased by introducing *proper* legislature. This would cause the price of illegal guns to go up and be ultimately harder to obtain. And like skierman said, many of the guns seized by Mexican authorities came from the US. That means cartels and gangs would also have to pay more to acquire guns. That would also mean the price of buying guns from Mexico is that much higher.
And people can keep downvoting me for saying many of the guns used in chicago crimes came from out of state. So here, 60% of the guns used in chicago crimes in 2013-2016 were bought legally out of state.

Also I'm still waiting for the stats of 3d printed guns used in crimes to come rolling in. Hasn't happened yet. I doubt that will ever be a very statistically significant percent of guns used in crimes.
I'm usually arguing AGAINST leftists and stricter gun laws, it's pretty amusing to see that both sides are very stubborn and unwilling to compromise. I'ma just sit here fondling this rifle and smoking this joint.
