another thing to think about so you don't get them too tight, is yes, you want your toes to be touching the front of the boot, but make sure as you flex the boot (bend you ankle) you can feel your toes pull back (so they are no longer touching.
Another thing to try, is without a sock on, take the liner out of the boot shell, and put your foot in it. Slide you toes to the front, and have someone look at your hell. There should be about a half an inch of room from your heel to the back of the shell.
