I thought Dumont should have won too, but booing tanner... wtf is wrong with people. He threw down regardless.
 
You think Dumont shouldve won? Boo you! Tanners run was straight up better. Booing Tanner is pathetic. Probably just a buncha drunk rednecks who came up for snowmobiling and stumbled over.
 
seriously i think it was such a shitty way to end a great contest to boo a guy who threw down a sick run
 
Simons run was really fucking good but he def could have thrown an extra rotation on his last air or spun the opp direction on one of his airs. And booing tanner was really fucking unecesary. He deserved that gold and deserved nothing but applause from that crowd.
 
the contest was decided already.. judges knew who they wanted.. they had those "7 golds" graphics made up already.. simon killed it, andreas killed it, jossi killed it.. btw.. did anyone catch Mike D say "the crowd wants amplitude, thats what simon is giving them" then proceeded to say "the judges want technical.. thats what tanner is giving them" mike douglas.. up tanners ass...
 
First of all clearly the public doesnt know shit about skiing hence the booing.  Secondly you cant say that dumonts run was better than Tanners, yes it was big, yes it was fuckign dope, BUT there was only on side spinning thats really important...
 
dumont is always like " we are pushing skiing in the right direction" etc etc
then he does a run with no legit grabs or style, and just goes big and spin to win
thats deffintly not in the right direction according to most people now
 
Judges had something up their asses just like last year.

Dumont = 21ft. + All of Tanners shit

Tanner = Creapy looking bum...
 
i thought they were both amazing..

i think simons was probably a bit better

but tanner had way more controle ane everything was flawless

i dunno i think it was pretty even

but good job on tanner
 
idk, it really annoyed me that after throwing the best run DuMont has ever run, the first thing tanner did was give him advice. i would have been really offended.
 
no, sorry but you're wrong. I think if the majority of the people there and most of ns think simon had a better run, then he did. If it was close they wouldn't have booed tanner, but it was so retartedly wrong. Xgames needs to stop sucking tanners dick so much

and holy crap almost every time they showed a guy at the bottom he had an 'e' on something he was wearing.
 
Remember my thread a few months back called "TANNER HALL IS A CLASSLESS IDIOT"? There is nobody that dislikes Tanner more than I do, BUT, the guy can ski. His runs were significantly more technical than Dumont's. Dumont went huge, don't get me wrong, but amplitude isn't everything. As Tanner said, Dumont's got to throw in some unnatural spins. Anyways, they were both sick but I think the judges made the right call this time.
 
just cause tanner spins both and simon doesnt is a dumb reason to give it to tanner... thats just justifying what we all knew months ago about tanner being the one the judges wanted no matter what.
 
yeah tanner earned it.. but i feel for dumont.. and i really respect tanner for being mature about his win
 
I'm usually the guy slamming Dumont for only doing one side spins and massive amplitude, but in this case those things trumped Tanner. He went 5 feet higher than tanner did and nailed a 9 with a grab, super clean 12 with a grab. A couple switch hits, he was robbed.

Tanner didn't even have to lay down his best run, that was yesterday in the quals. Tanner could have done a better run, but he didn't, not in the finals. I mean last year was close, but the right call was made, but damn, if you're Simon you gotta be discouraged.

And seriously, the mods deleting these threads is weak. Really weak.
 
Tenner deserves it but Simon did too, hard 2 judge, i was hoping Pete would do well this year and steal it from them both.
 
tanner looked like a dirty uncivilized caveman and he just looked lke a wild man w/ that hair and everything..kinda funny to watch his reactions...he killedit though
 
yea simon threw it down, but so did tanner. no matter who wins, this event will always push skiing so much further. the x-games has been played from the begining we all no it, tanner won before he even arrived at the x-games. and the booing i dont think was to tanner, but the ones who made the decision.
 
ummm obviously you've never worked in blive broadcast. they make graphics like that just in case. if there is a chance of it happening, then they will build all necessary elements for the show even a few days beforehand
 
I agree with whoever posted up there about jossi and andreas they threw down amazing runs and jossi got like a 70 for his, completely ridiculous
 
^ i didnt really like how tanner was giving simon advice like a kid who just got owned by a pro, thats kinda rubbing the win in simons face but he prob doesnt realize that. Tanner definetly deserved the win though but simon has so much heart... sad
 
p.s. I havent deleted anything but there is about 100 xgames pipe related threads in the deleted threads. So it was excessive no matter what.
 
jossi got ripped off that run was atleast good for third. but ya the snowballs was much. tanner seemed depressed in his interview seeing how wired he was before
 
i deffinetly thought dumont shouldve gotten it rigjht after his run, but tanner did get those 2 more hits... so i understand the booin, but i dont think its right...

and did anyone else notice riddle grabbing next years trouble makers AFTER his run?

im not sure why any of you are surprised by the lack of sportsmanship shown by all the booing seppos in aspen thisevening. if the rest of the world didnt already know seppos were a bunch of wankers, they sure as hell do now. espn had that on show to the whole world, including a live telecast into australia (where i watched every minute)...coming from an outsider looking in, the image the conveyed by the crowd to the rest of the world was ugly. a complete and utter disgrace
 
xgames is just retarted they just wanted the Simon Tanner battle at the end - Andreas should have won there was no way that Tanner's run was more technical than his and they went the same amplitude (but it doesn't matter anyway because Simon would have won) - but Tanner did have a better run than Simon, first hit right side 9 was so dope and simon not even spinning right side

anybody notice how shitty the pipe was and what happened to Rolland he qualified in 3rd, prob hurt?
 
ya i dont like tanner but his runs were flawless... but wasnt everyone booing cause after he won he didnt throw anything on his last run? i think people would have liked it more if he had gone huge or something... but anyway amazing competition... and simons new team got 2nd and 3rd.
