BOISE STATE!!

did anyone else notice that titus young could prolly have just caught that pass and kept running instead of diving. He didnt really dive, he just kind of stopped moving his legs and feel foward to make sure he caught it. He should have just stayed in straight with the perfect throw that was made and scored the game winning TD.

Personally I think it's best for everyone that BSU lost. It potentially saved a lot of announcers from choking to death on Kellen Moores balls.

Also........

DEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPP

Haha so true.

Ya I'm a huge Wisconsin fan but I wanted Boise State to win for Kellen Moore. He did all he could and it came down to a kicker missing a 26 yard field goal. twice.

I was at the game.
Me the ignorant one? dude what you don't get is you lost, so you shouldn't have won, because you lost, do you not get it? thats how football is, he missed field goals and there were mistakes made by boise, thats a part of football, does it mean boise should have won? no, because they fucking lost.
Nevada also made mistakes, they got a field goal blocked and got an interception on the first drive that would have most likely turned into a touchdown, so in turn, Nevada still should have won.
Did you watch the game? obviously not. So shut the fuck up.

You shut your damn mouth about Owen Marecic!

HE'S A DAMN GOOD PLAYER, AND STANFORD RULED WITH TOBY GERHART. HE WAS A MACHINE!

And i watched it on TV.

I understand we lost. That is exactly what i am saying. BSU lost the game.

They did not play like they usually do. It was not because of nevada playing extremely well, and winning the game.

Nevada did capitalize on the mistakes, which a good team will do. But most of the mistakes and poor play was BSU's fault and not forced by Nevada. So therefore BSU lost the game, and NEvada was in fact very lucky especially when two of there fumbles fell right into their receiver's hands, one of which got them a first down.

In the End Nevada won, and you do have to give them credit for playing a good game, and making a huge win over BOise.

SEC teams have tons of history and have huge programs because A: money, and B: there's damn near nothing else to do when you live in the sweltering, flat-ass southeastern USA. (or in some cases like Tennessee, and Georgia, NEAR the "mountains" LOL)
Go back to last year. Alabama's OOC was fucking ridiculous. San Jose State... they've had ONE good year in the last like 20... then they had TWO games against FCS schools if i'm not mistaken. That's fucking PUSSY.
Guess who played them in the conf. championship game? That other team that's notorious for its pussy scheduling. Florida - who never plays a decent team outside the swamp unless it's SEC, or Florida St or Miami, I guess... and Florida state is garbage these days anyway lol. Miami is pretty overrated too...
Tennessee gets my respect. They go and play Pac 10 teams. GOOD ones like Cal and Oregon - Not just Washington State, or one of the Arizona schools, who are pretty notorious for being middle of the road... They'd probably go up against U$C too if U$C didnt just schedule its bigger OOC games against Big 11 and big 12 schools.
the WAC isn't my conference... I just have a lot of respect for the teams that come from it... Do they have huge traditions or anything? No... but many of them have either been in the Wac for YEARS, or they have come from D1AA within the last 15 years.... (Idaho, Boise St, etc) Wac schools dont make that much money, and yet they still show up and typically beat schools from Pac 10, Big 12, and their abusive big Brother (MWC)'s schools...
You know those trick plays Boise usually does? That shit's ALWAYS happening in Wac games (they call it the wacky wac for a reason). Look at Nevada's crazy ass pistol offense? BYU practically invented the Spread in 1980 when they were still in the WAC, and Hawaii developed the SUPER SPREAD over the last 7 or 8 years (Tommy Chang and Colt Brennan had a STUPID amount of guys to throw at - That's why they set huge records). Conference USA schools that have been in the WAC at times in the past have even blown up and become huge schools for talent (TCU? Houston? ringing bells?)
Utah was a Wac school for years. Now theyre a pac 12 school... mostly because they havent lost to a Pac10 team in years, and developed a huge reputation (where'd Urban Meyer come from, anyway?)
These crazy offenses would NEVER happen in the SEC or Big 12... least until they play, and get BEAT by a WAC team with these offenses... That's why I have so much respect for the conference that was the WAC. It will be sad to see it die, if it does...

Haha. Stanfurd was garbage even with Toby.. and every year Michigan loses to tOSU is one year closer to the year that Harbaugh takes his overconfidence and ridiculous demeanor and ditches for the Wolverines... Leaving Stanfurd once again in Post Ty Willingham Territory... Ready to get flogged by the bears for another 8/9 seasons again haha.
Cal's stadium's getting a huge facelift and is about to run the recruiting tables faster than they kicked the hippies out of the trees... After Luck ditches for the NFL next season Stanfurd's going to be a laughingstock again... Oh wait... they cant fill a 50k seat stadium in the Pac 10, while being in a massive metro area between 2 of the biggest cities in the USA. They ARE a laughingstock...

My homosexuality is not relevant to this thread. If you would like to continue this discussion, I suggest you make a new thread.

Bears spell Stanford as "stanfurd" to fuck with those weirdos.
Red wearers spell Cal as "Kal'' because they attend a Junior University.
(there's SO much tradition between Cal - Stanfurd, it's insane - it's so engrained in me, I dont own a single red shirt.. haha)

Haha. Some things within that are true...
The students actually also wanted the mascot to be the Stanfurd Redwoods, or the Stanfurd Robber Barons.. or the spikes... or the huns... or the griffins, or sequoias, or even just simply Trees...
Nobody could come up with a good one, because obviously Stanfurd students have no real creativity, so the school said 'fuck it... we'll just be named after a shade of Red'
I wish they would have picked Hoovers though... vacuum and great depression jokes would be so fun...

10 more times dating back to the 19th century? I can live with that... especially seeing as Stanfurd's endowment could pay to send someone to the fucking moon...

They may have 10 more Big Game wins... but this is the only one that REALLY matters...

wow. As I read through this thread, I am surprised that no one even mentioned Wisconsin and the BigTen. Today, we just beat Northwestern 70-13, and that was our fourth straight victory of 20 points or more, and that wasnt even the most lopsided game, it was against Indiana, we beat them 83-13. I might add that it was the third time that the badgers scored 70 points or more.
look for them in the rose bowl.

Apparently, Stanford isn't even gonna go to the Rose Bowl. Fucking TCU is going to be in their instead. I'm a Michigan fan, so I'm somewhat mad that there won't be a Big 10-Pac 10 Rose Bowl this year.

Unfortunately because of the way the conferences are..TCU's probably not gonna get in. On the other hand, if we had a play off system...

As a Cal fan, I'm stoked they have to go to Arizona instead... They better enjoy their tortilla chips! hehehe.
But no, I know what you mean. Any rose bowl that isn't 'pure' sucks, usually... Remember that first Miami - Nebraska national championship game that SUCKED?
I want more rose bowls without USC, tOSU, and Michigan though...
I'd personally love to see something like an Minnesota - California, or Oregon State - Michigan State or Wazzu - Indiana haha.
Would be fun stuff if that kinda shit actually happened for once..

I WAS FUCKING THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS FUCKING INSANE. I RUSHED THE FIELD

They have tons of history because they started a long time ago, not because of money. Georgia tech has tons of history and does not have much money.

Fuck you. You've prob never been to the south, and Atlanta is the shit. And our "mountains" are awesome. They arent the tallest, but there is tons of fun shit to do and they are beautiful, as well as over 6,000 feet tall. There is plenty of other stuff to do and there are lots of people that dont follow football. The south just enjoys a rich tradition in football so more people follow it. Same with texas.

Alabama's OOC schedule had virginia tech. Seems you forgot about that. The game wasn't a blowout either. They were ranked #7 and still had a high ranking until Tech beat them later in the season(best game I've ever been to). The conference schedule was filled with tough ranked opponents as well. Alabama def had the toughest schedule this year as well, with since before the USCe game, every team that played them had a bye week before them.

Florida really does have weak OCC schedules and florida state isnt as bad as you think it is, but that doesnt make florida bad. They were good last year.

Miami is not overrated because they havent been anything over mediocre for the last 4 years. they just lost to south florida and fired their coach. They should be good in a few years.

Ok, so the wac has crazy offenses. So does georgia tech, but the conference just cannot compare to the other bcs conferences in everything. Coaching, recruiting, raw talent. Theres a reason the wac is pretty much last in conference rankings all the time.

i submitted an fml as kyle brotzman, but it hasn't been approved. will post when gets on site home page

yeah I know. the thought is very funny to me. Same with a team like duke, even though they have been to bcs bowls back in the day, and they have a good coach (who some other team will prob take)

Haha. My mom's entire family is from the south dude... I've been there aaa lot. She was born in Virginia, my grandparents were born in kentucky, I have a billion cousins in Kentucky, Louisiana, West Virginia (doesnt really count, but they all seem to think they're from the south...), and GEORGIA (savannah area, mostly).
I'm talkin shit on the mountains because the ones I hang around are twice as tall haha. I've been in the Appalachians. I know what they are, and yeah, they're different and cool lol.
I guess I did forget they played VA tech. My bad. And, I mixed this years' schedule up with last year... they started off against San Jose THIS season. Last year they played Florida International AND Tennesee-Chattanooga (even worse). It's one thing to schedule a single FCS school... it's another to schedule 2 of them... and to me that nullyfies the strength of the VA Tech game, anyway. They had 7 games in Tuscaloosa, and one on neutral turf... Not what I personally would call a strong schedule. Theyre only away games in the SEC were at KU, in mississippi twice, and then at Auburn for the Iron Bowl... which, if I'm not mistaken, half the stadium was filled with Bama fans anyway. IF you see it from my perspective, there were only 3 true away games all year for Bama.
Georgia Tech does have some crazy offense, but I wasnt talking about the ACC so much. I honestly dont know ACC football that well now that half the teams are formerly from the Big East anyway. The conference's dynamic has changed a bit.
Wac and MWC teams cant compete money-wise with teams from BCS conferences... but they certainly compete on the football field and that's been shown - no other mid-major conference has sent as many teams to BCS bowls, and if you combine the MWC (all former wac schools) then you might as well just give the Wac an AQ slot, because they've bogarted that shit the last few years. The recent version of the Wac has never been last in conference rankings, actually. The Sun Belt is the doormat of that ranking just about every season. The Wac tends to also get the shortend of the stick in that regard seeing as games are always late at night, and are usually not telivised. Unless voters on the east coast want to stay up and watch games on ESPN3, then nobody sees them, and they dont get recognition from folks like you back east.
By the way. Stanfurd Jonah kinda = Up with the White and Gold. HIgh five for fight songs.
