Bobby B. got screwed at NZ Open

man, bobby b. got ripped off by the judges. In my mind after watching the videos, he definitely deserved to win.

Their rails were just about even, the only thing henshaw had on the rails over bobby was because of his dirty hardway 270 on. it was pretty tight. but back to my argument. Russ gets rail section over bobby b. obviously

jumps:

Russ did a sw 9, when he missed his grab through the rotation vs. bobby’s cork 9 true tail. Win bobby b.

Russ did a dub 10 vs. bobby’s sw dub misty 12 that he took deeeeep. win bobby b.

Russ did a unnatural dub 12 vs bobby b.’s unnatural dub 12. tie

overall I think bobby’s monsterous jumps should have offset his lack of technical difficulty on the rail section and then some. which means he should have won him the slopestyle contest.

does anyone agree?

This, give skiers an edge that are good at more aspects of skiing. If you wanna win because of jumps do big air.

but russ only did one trick better than bobby and that was the hardway 270. on the f-d russ only did sw 270 vs bobby's 450, which was the standard trick on that feature. but still more revolutions win over fewer.

spin to win?

Nay, style and ease. I haven't seen the videos, but based on what you are saying I agree with the judges.

450s onto flat features is the stupidest shit in skiing

and who cares? bobby still got 2nd, definitely didn't get screwed hard enough for anyone to talk about it.

I shat em the first time I saw that, shat em over and over

but yeah rails should definitely count for more, and there needs to be need bigger rails in the bigger comps imo. I would also like to see these runs online

why are skiing girls so ugly? first person to post a picture of sarah burke loses because she's nasty.
nice job on getting thirst place Gus!

Your theory is wrong. You took a whole section (the rails) and combined it into one which Russ won, and then took the jump section and split it up so what makes it look like Russ only won one of your categories, and bobby won 2 is incorrect.

It is. He has that video on his iPod. He showed me when I met him. He has an opinion. HELL! He's from fuckin' Boston. If you met the kid you would love him because he's a riot, and he's super fun to ski with. Don't hate unless you meet him.

i have seen enough and heard enough stupid shit out of that guy.

You even further solidified my point. Thanks.

oh gallant, are you ok? here you are judging the runs purely on the difficulty and putting no thought into execution, while not too long ago you were saying that the whole "spin to win, triple cork" thing is not the way the sport should be going.

WHAT DO YOU WANT?

Props to bobby b for a SICK run! But the judges is looking at the whole picture! if you wanna win, you gotta do a clean run from top to bottom, with sick tricks. BB had the sick tricks, but it wasent clean enough compared to Russ. If you notice he's landing at the dub misty 12, not a handrag, but a ass-drag. Russ had the overall best run in this comp, props. And love that the rs spinning and rails are getting so important for the score, think its the right direction for skiing.

Despite your horrible grammar I agree with you. The butt check on bobby's first dub probly cost him the comp.

wow, i make a thread in no way being cocky or arrogant or even a douche yet i called silly names by little trolls.

awww did you day go that poorly that you had to call me hurtful names? aww.

and to everyone else, all i was trying to see what peoples opinions were, not trying to be a douche bag.

and to all the haters: I love it every time my name rolls off your tongue baby! keep hatin'

You guys truly amuse me.

Definitely not the highlight off my life by far.

I lived a whole different life than you guys. here's some shit to catch you up and maybe have a brief overview of where ive come from since most of you dont seem to understand.

Skiing was passed along to me by my best friend when he took me skiing for the first time while using his dads equipment at wachusett mtn when i was 15.

up until that moment all i cared about was hockey. right before then, my parents pulled me from the sport i loved because i almost became paralyzed from the neck down from a dirty hit from behind that sent me head first into the boards.

at 16 i declared myself a skier and was in love with the sport. at the present im 26 and a lot of things have happened between then and now, including that crash in 2005. five years ago.

Skier after 25,000 or so posts. I can finally say you have made a positive contribution to this site. I cannot stop watching this fall.

your fall is probably one of the best moments in skiing just because you were such a cocky douche and you got yours... in front of everyone. take notice at the laughter as you smash into the box. classic.

wow. way to call out the bryan of 2005. wait what year is it? you guys are so childish and i wasnt even a cocky douche back then... So skiierman you obviously dont know me or have not even come in contact with me ever in your life, so i would say you have no right to say a fucking thing.

and my name was never announced before i attempted the 270, everyone laughed cause it was a kid in a green onesie, not for who i was/am. because i can tell you this, not a lot has changed in personality between then and now.

you guys dont know the hardships ive had to endure most of my life because most of you fucks on this site were born with a silver spoon in your mouth and have no grip on what its like to be raised in a very unwealthy area. So did i have an attitude back then, fuck yeah i did! do i still? Hell yeah. everyone would understand if they only took the time to talk to me. but no people make jackass assumptions and spread rumors because all you guys are, are worthless trolls that will never amount to shit.
