the sad part is that you've been trying to be good at skiing your whole life and still suck whereas skiing is the sport i use to have fun in the biking off season... and you're still the laughing stock of a lot of people. almost on the anthony bacon level, really. oh and i forgot to mention, they all knew it was you before you smashed your face on that box. man i'd be bitter also if everyone laughed at me if i took a hard fall like that.
 
in no way am i bitching special k. i just didnt agree with jumps section of judging. but whatev. but in no way am i complaining, i was more starting this thread to see if anyone agreed/disagreed.

I think bobby should have won too. his style was easily as good at russ. he didn't flail. he landed backseat on the dub misty but he took that air bigger than anyone and stayed in a ball for speed.

rails should not count anymore than what they already do for slopestyle. the event is about multiple features, flow, big tricks no matter the feature. rails can be cool but too many of you put too much emphasis on them.
 
On the contrary...As dope as Bobby's run was, I don't believe Russ flailed as much, but the main thing I feel is definitely that his rails were much more tech than Bobby's. And when it comes down to it, Russ's level of riding was a smidgen higher. Props to both though, each run was mind blowing.

my whole thing was where bobby did the cork 9 blunt, russ did a sw 9, and missed his grab through the entire rotation. I dont know if anyone else caught that.

I agree on the outerwear. (Sorry, Bry :D) As for his skiing style... it's improving... a lot. I spent a decent amount of time with him on the hill, and I wasn't too keen on his style in the beginning. I won't lie... it was messy, but by the end of the season it was put together real nice. I wish he had stayed in Keystone last season because I was excited to see him improve even more, and go huge with sick style. I also wanted to improve my filming skills. HAHA! Anyway... this argument on him being a cocky douche is dumb. You have to get to know him because it's just who he is, and he's hilarious and fun to ski with. He knows a lot about the sport, and my overall skiing improved a lot skiing with him.

that being said, i think bobby placed where he deserved, imo russ's run was all around better for the most part.

russ definitely deserved the win. he clearly dominated the rail section, and they were close on the jumps, but again, i'd say russ was smoother. Bobby did take that second jump deep, but he landed pretty far backseat.

On topic, nah, Bobby did go deep, which I think would have won it, if he'd landed it cleanly.

But he didn't, and that should take off points in both the 'points for execution' technical shit, as well as the general style and flow of the run (since people seem to be in one of those camps when it comes to judging)

LJ did a 450 disaster on it, i don't think he landed it but at least he cleared the gap.

and he also didn't waste the entire rail jam standing at the top of the in run lookin like a goomba in a green one piece.
