It's not skiing related. I have an infection somewhere around my spine. I was in the hospital for 4 days. Now I have an iv in my arm so I can take medicine every 8 hours for the next 21 days.

Being new to the OH scene, how is BMBW so lacking in snow? It seems the MRM is sitting pretty right now all things considered, and there park is setup pretty nice. Gonna head up there hopefully tomorrow or wed.

Typically bmbw always decides to make the least amount of snow at the latest time. bmbw is usually the last resort in ohio to start blowing snow for the season. And yeah the park setup at bmbw is kind of crappy, a few fun rails, but 2 miserably shaped jumps and a ton of really small and pointless features. The park at mad river looks pretty sick tho.

There is this thing called customer satisfaction. Bmbw doesnt know what it is.
 
I think my last turns were yesterday. This rain is a lot more intense than expected. The base simply isn't big enough.

Mad River is fucked too, they've announced winter carnival is on march 5th, so they're only expecting to hang on for a couple weeks. so is bmbw like done? I was planning to come back to ski next week. I might just have to start making 7 springs trips.

They are aiming to close the 6th i think but big air may be a no go. There simply isnt enough snow to last.

I think that it is possible that we make it into mid march. We are more natural snow next week so it won't be super slushy

jumps are crap with the sheet of ice and grandular at the bottom. Sessioned box for a hour in prog cause i got bored
 
How are the rails? Is there anything left that hasn't been ravaged by the weather? I'm trying to film and go hard but there is nothing good in Ohio

mad river is actually in bad shape, at least as of friday. Sticky rails and rutted out lips.Looks like I'm going to springs
 
Looks like bmbw is closing next weekend. Big air got canceled and winter carnival is the 5th. I have a retreat this weekend so it looks like my season is done.

snow trails is usually off the map of choices for me as I have a season pass at bmbw and get 50% off at mad river. If I'm going to pay for a full day pass I might as well be driving to 7 springs

Park crew was out there last night with shovels so maybe the rails will be open.
 
Mad river's Instagram is hinting that they will be making snow this week. If that's true there is a 10% chance bmbw will too

The jumps are 2 frozen ice blocks so they arent moving. Even if it wasnt frozen it would take way longer than a day

Snowmaking has started already without posting on social media. Maybe bmbw is actually trying give back for the first time ever.
 
Strange, this season must have hurt them so bad financially that they're actually willing to try to bring people in this time of the year.

Sunday is the spring carnival. It'll be packed. There's a rail jam on Saturday in the little park.

You can get on their website and look at the audition cam. They took out their big jump. It's kinda hard to tell what's up. There's an s rail. I assume the mushroom bonk is still up.

Oh wow, perfect north is 2 hrs from where I currently am. I didn't think it was that far. I'll probably just ski mad river all weekend then. Got a trip to carninthia and springs lined up, so excited.

Bmbw conditions were perfect today. Except the park was closec so we build a 15 foot jump on regulator. Kids were throwing backies

They just built a new kicker for the first jump but they just changed the order of the rails. Same spots.

well mad river is in bad shape too now. It was unavoidable, the temps are so high. I'm done skiing in ohio for the season. RIP season.
