A word of advice: Hang out on ns.com enough and you'll find about as many different opinions on bindings as you will members.
I ride Tyrolia, and in my 2.5 years of teching at one of the biggest ski shops (Sporting Life

) in Toronto, I haven't really had a problem with any of the following:
Tyrolia, Salomon, Marker, Look/Rossi
The following binding blows(my opinion only): Atomic(all models. I don't care what you tell me, you can't convince me they don't.)
The Line binding is too new and has what I would call a deserved bad reputation on newschoolers. Give it a year or two, and it stands a good chance of being an excellent choice. Oh and hopefully, more companies will have adopted the Line insert pattern in a year or two(wishful thinking??), making the Line binding an even more attractive option. Overall, I'd say that most any binding will keep you in when it should, and release properly. Assuming it's properly installed and adjusted, of course. Which is why a good shop is so important. For what it's worth, Salomon's warranty has always seemed pretty good to me, so that might be your deciding factor right there. Ask your shop guys, and they'll give you the info you need to make a smart decision on which binding is best for you.
