People need to realize spending isnt always a bad thing..
much of That spending goes towards schools, making it cheaper for us to pay our way through college..
or goes towards healthcare programs for the impoverished, or people who dont make that much at all..
Or goes towards lower property taxes, so we can actually afford to live where we do..
and the list goes on.
I dont know about you, but I'd much rather have that 10 billion dollars per day go towards programs that are keeping kids off the streets, and away from gang violence... keeping myself, my family, and my friends safer.
I'd much rather that money go to our schools, so i dont have to pay 30 dollars a fucking unit at a COMMUNITY COLLEGE (10 years ago, community college was free, and had many more classes and programs to offer), or have to take out student loans, tallying in the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS to pay for my degree, leading to huge debt that I have to pay over the next who knows how many years (FYI, Obama just paid off his student loans from Harvard recently).
I'd much rather that money go towards healthcare services, and lower healthcare insurance costs, so the next time I have a friend break her back, or blow his ACL, they dont have to refuse healthcare, because they dont have insurance, and cant afford to go clear to canada (which would be a cheaper option in some cases), in order to recieve said healthcare.
I dont like taxes any more than the next guy... but taxes are what the government needs in order to avoid anarchy, and keep people adherant to civilization.
so if higher taxes are what it takes keeping kids off the streets, and away from gangs, and making healthcare affordable for them, and allowing them to go to school, and STAY off the streets is what it takes to keep me, my family, and my friends safe?
I'm all for it, homie.
