first of all, I love mountain biking, but I hate it when bikers come to the skatepark because all they do is bike fast and get in everyone's way. I'd probably be more forgiving if there wasn't like a million bike trails in my town and a brand new bike park up at my house.

well i think mountain bikes shouldnt be in skateparks. they are to big and they can get going way fast because of the gears, but bmxers dont just get in everybodies way. so if you dont like bikers fuck you. narrow minded bitch

yeah mountain bikes always have brakes, but they can get going way the hell faster than bmx bikes. and what the hell is everyones problem with bikers in skateparks. people say we get in the way, but have you ever been at a skatepark with 5 little kids who dont even know how to stand up on a skateboard, or had to dodge somebodies runaway board. i know that bmxers dont always have brakes, but when was the last time you saw a skater with brakes.

yo BMX is sick. and it was hard enough to get bikes accepted into skateparks. and now BMX is the sickest thing in the skatepark. we get huge airs. huge steezy spins,ect ect.

BMX= technical tricks+ style

Mountain Bike= all about style. (so they have to have alot more of it.

and skate parks are for technical tricks

were not even alowed to go biking in the skatepark, i do trials and urban riding soo i dont need the skatepark

why. skateparks are fun. im not gonna quit ridong them no matter what anyone says. one of my goals in life is to make a bikepark where skaters arent allowed, so then they can see how it feels.

you can ride anywhere why ride the skatepark? and there already are parks for only bike. the only difference is that they're made of dirt

 
but sometimes i dont wanna ride dirt. have you ever tried to grind dirt? plus there is alot of variety at skateparks, and you dont usually just find random miniramps in the street to ride on.

yeah but if the little kid was smart he wouldnt stand in the way, but most of the time i think thet its a responsibility issue with the parents that causes little kids to get hurt in skateparks. its definitely more dangerous, but i dont think that that means we shouldnt be allowed in skateparks.

yeah i have no problem with mountain bikers, i just think they get going way to fast for normal skateparks. i mean bmxers go fast but we only have one gear, so its pretty easy to top out. on a mountain bike you have a bunch of gear so you get going super fast.

yeah but if the kids dont stand in front of us they dont get hit. why should we stay out of the skateparks because someone gets in our way. you cant hit a perfect hip or a spine aor quarter outside of a skatepark

I'm a mountain biker, and i mostly ride trails, and sometimes in the skateparks.

But, mountainbikers are no different than bmx'ers. i don't know ne mountainbiker, who rides skate parks, with a bike that have gears. we all ride ss

The difference between bikes and board is generally that skateboarders will hit one feature...like dropping in on vert and grinding a ledge and then go wait. Bikers ride around the whole park, poaching everything. I've bmx-ed and free-ridden in skateparks and I think the only problem is when there are too many people in the park. When it's crammed, people's tempers heat up not to mention they're impatient. This is when people get hurt by bikes. I say bmx is generally ok, but freeriders should either come early, or come late when there's less people.

all i know is that a lot of ppl get hit by bikers who aren't very aware, it's not only little kids that get in their way, most of the time it's the bikers fault, bikers aren't even alowed in our park because they were hitting too many ppl

 
dude gears dont matter in a skate park you fool. most park urban mountain bikes are single speed including mine. bmx bikes brakes dont even count as a means to stopping, so shut up. kids with scooters dont belong in the skate park.

scooters look silly but they dont bother me, it just pisses me off when im dropping in and hitting a rail in a line across the park and a mountain biker comes and starts trying a different gap that is a perpendicular line to mine ( like this +), I wait for him, then i go. and then out of no wehere his friend follwos right behind him and i get taken out... that is what sucks

I'm a biker and as long as you take your turn and don't piss anybody off, you'll be fine.

Also, if the park has rules and one of them is "no mountain bikes" just go late at night. Not hot (temperature wise) and besides the kids who are drinking, you have nothing to worry about

 
yeah theres two things that bug me about bikers and my local park. 1 they dont take their turn. if they waited their turn i wouldnt care too much. 2 the pegs. more than once has a stupid biker gone to hit something and either dented the coping or broke the edging. on the curved ledge a biker broke out a good 8 inch peice of the edging. but if theyre not touching the coping too hard and staying out of the way of whos supposed to be there i dont worry about it too much. hell i skate with bikers sometimes.

yeah honestly i dont mind the older biker guys at my park, because they chill in the bowls. Basically as long as there not sitting in my way, or damaging the skatepark im cool............but whats really annoying is when parents bring there children to the park with there bikes and they ride back and forth on the banks right infront of the rails continuosly!

all the scummy trash, whores, druggies, and fucking nigger ass "gangsters" who steal shit and cause voilence........they need to stay away.

People who say that BMXers are allowed in skateparks but mountain bikes aren't are ignorant...when I go to a skatepark on my mountain bike I am always aware that I'm not in anyones way and that there is a space. Besides, a BMX is actually heavier than a mountain bike so it causes more damage if that's the case.

there not allowed in our park its on the rule board that no one pays attention to. their pegs really ruin the coping. i recall one time at a skatepark when a retarded bmxer rammed his peg right in my shin cas he wasnt looking were the fuck he was going and was going really fast. i had to msis soccer for the res tof the week cas i couldnt get my shin pads on

Yeah they do, and OMG THEY HAVE HOOK WORM TIRES TOO! AMAZING! The way I feel on the situation is that if you have single track around your house or within a short drive then you're just wasting time in the park. Don't get me wrong, I love mountain biking but I see that if you want a bike in the park use a BMX because mountain bikes should just stay where they belong, in the mountains.

Build your own trails, that's what we have done and will have over 1,000ft. of elevations, a lot of dirt jumps and a few DH runs as well. There's no limit to what you can do if you set your mind to it.

remember on made when that girl did a backflip on a bmx bike in like 6 weeks of learing how to ride? Yeah, that was when biking lost all credibility. And yes there are some pros who are way better and amazing, however I never see them riding a skatepark.

My weiner is probably harder than yours.
 
flips require nothing other than having no fear, and she had foam to learn them into, so there really was no way she could get seriously hurt learning them. and bikes messing up coping is bullshit. if the parks would spend a few more dollars and get stronder coping that doesnt happen. its true that ledges get chunked up, but rollerbladers and skateboard trucks round them off so that no one can stay on them. i think angle iron needs to be in all parks. cement ledges are for street.
