Biggest pet peeve?

Def gotta hate on that elder millennial (nowadays also mumble rap zoomers with dads credit card) extremely heavy drinking crowd at every hill now.. you know, the ones who get absolutely hammered and just bomb blue groomers and green runs and boost off every blind roll with just no regard for or awareness of other riders, esp kids. I legit feel less safe on some busy groomers than in the park cus of this phenomenon. I totally get having a beer or two to be in the pocket but if your idea of skiing or boarding is getting mega hammered and being a menace (and also driving home) I don't wanna be anywhere near u

People be smokin in the lift lines like crazy at Hood, especially at Timberline where 80% of the people on the hill are under the age of 13. one time at meadows this guy was absolutely blazed in the lift line and fell down, he dropped like 8 pre rolls and after picking them all up himself, he accused me of stealing a few of them. He tried to fight me at the top of the lift, after I called him retarded and told him to take it easy (I was in 8th grade). He was clutching my jacket the whole damn time and ripped the waist synch out when he fell while trying to tackle me. I skied out of there as quick as I could. I get that smoking and skiing is fun but y'all gotta chill out, can't be fighting kids.

These are the stories I come here for lol!

i get that but i aint fuckin paying for a park. ill poach before paying. we need more places where you dont have to pay to be allowed

People who shouldnt be in the park being in the park. I just finished writing a 2000 word essay for school on that and how having a small fee to be allowed into snowparks would stop a lot of that

What is some of your biggest pet peeves when going to a resort? For me its adults who sidejump the lips (children get a pass because dont know any better, even though they should) or when anyone (skier/snowboarder) hits the back of skis in line (or on the lift) and doesn't apologize. That last one is dumb because I end up using my skis on rails or riding out onto concrete but still, its the principle. If I even tap someone's ski or snowboard I say "my bad".

So what is something that grinds your gears?

Having a rental skier step on the back of your skis and not apologizing when in line, people who jump off the lips of park features and people who take off their skis when they are getting on the lift.(never knew this was a thing but it’s happened many times)

People who have a bluetooth speaker blasting music from their backpack. You can tell they think it's cool.

always wearing a jersey

always a JBL flip

always a North Face backpack

always an Amazon helmet and goggles

everything rental down to the snow pants

Perfect North seems to be a magnet for this kind

who are you and why are you following me around

Hate it when I am just chilling in line and I feel a bump in my skis. I look back and it’s some silly out-of-stater with Rossignol rentals. Every time I shuffle forward I feel this dumb mf’s skis bump into mine again. Fuckkkkk that

People who don't wait for there to be room on the other side of the gate and just immediately go thru as soon as it's their turn in line. Then they crowd into the area, step on skis, etc.

Racers. I just hate it when I'm going down the hill along just cruising and some racer barely going faster than me passes buy waving there ass up in the air with their, poles tucked underneath their shoulders thinking they're the shit. I also hate the racers that are fucking slow, like why u doing all this movement in ur skin-tight suit with ur fully waxed head skis, ass in the air, and somehow I'm faster than u with my shitty detuned park skis.

good skiers deciding to use beginners as gates on the bunny slope. Like hello we are teaching a friend and the last thing a never ever needs is someone going 30mph less than a foot away from them.

every time somone hits my skis i turn around, stare at my skis for a couple seconds and then star at the person for a couple seconds. usually does the trick

Shit, you got me.

This has happened a few times at my local park where younger snowboarders use their board as a sled and slide down the whole hill while hitting lips on the features. Pisses me off icl
