if you ski big mountain as a young buck you are wasting your life away. real men slam hard in the park until they can literally only ski pow.

I see freeriders lining up their 8-15 footers when theres a foot of new snow. But they disappear by 2pm.
and everyone wants to be a freestyler but don’t nobody wanna throw no goddamn trick!!! How many times have we been in the park with friends that ski everyday and they say “ima take it easy today” everyday. How many of you haven’t corked yet even tho you already have been skiing for over 4 years?
every sport can be judged like this its easy. Shallow thread

14580011:IsaacNW82 said:IMO most of the best skiers haven't really defined themselves as strictly either for the majority of their careers. The greats like Candide and THall have been doing both since like, 2000? And for the record both of those guys started out in moguls lol

14580042:Rock_Inhabitant said:You clearly don’t know what thall is doing right now. If you watched his movie he was hitting 7s, landing flat and sliding rails in the street. Plus doing a quad backie, and even if it was into power, it was fucking big. And power can’t magically save your knees from the whole impact.
14580046:AndrewGravesSV said:lol tanners last two posts are hitting street in one and park in the other. Also there is a difference between big mountain skiing and building backcountry booters and freeride. Its pretty rare to see more than a 3 or back flip on the fwt and you can be a badass skier only knowing those two tricks.
I'd love to see a team big mountain comp of ex racers vs ex park skiers lol

14580063:DollaStoreHumper said:yeah but dudes who just charge in alta/snowbird/jh/palisades etc could be doing way sicker tricks instead of just pointing 'em in the fall line. don't get me wrong its fun to charge, but you can learn to charge way easier than you can learn lots of tricks in the park. Way more likely that you'll be old and still able to charge through shit than old and able to still throw down in the park. Will it be hard on your body? yes, but not as hard as eating shit in the park over and over while trying to learn shit.

14580322:DollaStoreHumper said:Dear Clark 456,
Thank you for your reply, while agree that many of my points have been rooted in baseless facts, I appreciate your admission that my proposed form of skiing may be the most enjoyable. Hope to see you up on the hill soon shredding park laps and slamming hard until you reach a ripe old age and can get pow turns in and send cliffs with your groms.
Much love and best wishes,
