Best way to gain weight/muscle

ya i did, and i agree with everything that you said minus the part about water retention. Go read any website and it will say u retain more water then u do naturally when u take it and that after u finish your cycle u loose that bloated muscle look.

dude if you follow the directions and drink 2.5 gallons of water it wont ive been doing it for a couple months and it really helps if you folow the directions

if you are still in hs 150 is a perfect soccer weight. well between 150 and 160 but anyways you just need to learn to use your weight not gain more.

I gained about 12 pounds in a matter of 3 weeks when I was on an army course. We obviously didn't do any lifting or take any supplements, so those are not really needed. However we did eat 3 big meals a day, containing tons of protein and carbs, and practically no sugars.

Just do as many pushups you can per day, at least 500 to start, wake up in the morning, do pushups, eat breakfast, do pushups, go in the shower, do pushups, get dressed, do pushups. Just do as many as you can all the time, and you'll see yourself being able to do more in no time. We would not only do regular pushups, but also tri pushups on our helmets (or soccer ball in your case)

Running will help, but if you really want to build muscle fast, stick to uphill sprints, windsprints, lunges, high knees, etc. Doing long distance will obviously help your cardio + endurance, but it won't build nearly as much as doing sprints will.

Situps, same deal as pushups, but you should be able to do at least double.

Berpes, some people like them, some people don't, but they will for sure get you bigger extremly fast.

If you can find a powerlifting (olympic lift) coach in your area, go see him a couple times a week and you should be the hulk in no time.

i have lots of experience with this...

when you are working out work with light weights (5-10 lbs) and do your basic arm/back/shoulder work out it will tone your muscles and help with endurance

pushups, situps, and leg lifts are key too. push yourself and keep you legs low, no more than 6 inches off the ground, it will work you harder and push yourself for at least over two minutes. i just put on a good song and tough through it and then spread your legs and stuff like someone else said

what you really want to do is concentrate with running.

both sprints and long distance work outs is truely going to help you out more than anything, i don't care what anyone else says. for sprint: fartlics(sp), pyramids, or any workout that you will go from lower to higher speeds will help alot. just do like 40 dashes and full field sprints as well, suicides too. ***as for long distance, run with bricks, weights, or phone books...thats what we do for school. it conditions you like crazy and it makes you run without your arms so your legs get in awesome shape, after about two weeks of this you're not gonna get knocked off the ball too easily. while you are running change the position you hold the bricks: arms out like a cross, just normal running style, and over your head. we all got used to it after about a week and it really helped everyone on our team.

don't forget about basic soccer skills as well. depending on the style your team plays, passing, crossing, and just good foot skills are going to help you as well as strength and speed

i'd start running at least 3 miles about 3-4 times a week for now and bump it up during the summer and just keep it gangsta

its because soccer is physical. when you shoulder barge and shit you dont wanan get pushed around. when people run into you, you wanna be solid. you can also do longer throwins

Your all a bunch on retards. Creatine will not harm you. If you stick with normal creatine monohydrate. Dont go spending hundreds of dollars on some muscletech crap. Take 5 grams pre workout and 2 to 5 grams post-workout. Mix it with grape juice and its perfect. As for the maker of this thread who said you want to gain weight for soccer. Since you do alot of running and a ton of running during your games/practices. Your not going to gain weight when theres that much cardio involved. Wait for the off-season and bulk.

I also need to gain weight, but for baseball, and i lift daily and mostly do shoulders, lower body, back, and then arm stuff. Some of my friends do creatine, but ive heard its not good for you so i stick to just whey protein after lifting, and it seems to be doing ok.

along with whatever workout plan you go with, go for a lot of snacking during the day. I dont mean having chips or other saturated shit, but like yogurt/granola/fruit. I thought it helped me a lot more than 3 big meals a day

too bad that's not the point. if supplementing is that important that you have to specifically take creatine to gain weight, than you're not working hard enough. besides there are so many more supplements to take that are healthier and helpful.

did you read what he posted? he wants to gain weight over the summer for the soccer season, thus he'll be in off-season. he won't be doing much running, and even if he was it wouldn't hurt him that much. he probably wants to gain lean mass so whatever.

and nice work on exposing your alias. did you post all that shit on creatine and say oh fuck i posted on my alias name!!!

why the fuck do u need to beef up for soccer....i play...im not 2 big but i take bitches out! including you if i ever play you...ohhh burn baby burn!

straight up seafood, it has so much protein. also eat carbs too because your body burns carbs before it burns fatt or protein.

so bascally eat carbs because while your body is turning your protein into muscle, it will be burning the carbs, and not the protein.

have you ever watched pro/college soccer or seen the players up close? they are ripped. core strength can give you better endurance and upper body will make it so you dont get pushed around on the field. basicaly i just wanna get stronger which would mean i would have to gain weight cuz im pretty damn skinny. 5'10 and 150 and most of that weight is in my legs

For your information salomonski, my brothers are heavily into lifting and supplement with different types of supplements including Creatine. I workout with them since they know a hell of a lot more than what NS knows, I'll stick with their facts.

Ive been lifting for 9+ years now and been trained by professionals from the football program back in HS. I have never used a supplement besides once I tried Weight Gainer 2250 or something along those lines. did not do too much for me. creatine is a widly talked about subject but still not needed.

If you bust ur ass and just lift, why take shit into your body thats not needed?

Ur brothers are pussies that need a boost of moral and cash spending fools.

I started out back in 8th grade benching i think 85lbs, when i weighed roughly 100lbs. I gained only 20-25 lbs my whole HS years and in the middle of senior year weighed 125lbs. I was benching 245lbs no problem, using no suppliments and pound for pound almost noone could match.

Ummm, in case you didnt know, creatine is naturally made in the body and per 1lb of beef theres 5grams of creatine. So what is the problem with taking in more? And Dloc, sure you might be able to bench press 245lbs but do you have muscle to show for it?? It doesn't matter how much weight you put up, it's how you look.

Creatine is definitely a "helper" to get you bigger and stronger, faster. That's the point. You can find creatine in any major protein source of meat: fish, ground beaf, steak, chicken, etc.

Anyone who says it messes with your kidneys is full of shit. Yes, you have to drink alot of water with creatine because it processes it to your muscles. The last time you drank 2 gallons of water in a day, what did you have to do? Piss? A couple times?

The point of drinking more water with creatine is to keep you hydrated while allowing enough water into your muscles to provide ATP.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE that creatine is bad for you. The absolute majority of pro athletes in any sport take creatine on a reguler, almost daily basis.

Prove me wrong...please...

We did this thing for swimming. My coach is huge and extremely strong.

Take two five pound weights one in each hanh and got to a step a little lower than knee height. First do bicep curls every time you step up after 20 switch the foot you step up with. Then do the same putting your arms straight out every time you step and then out to the sides. Trust me this is a workout. My coach could barely finish and he is one strong dude.

benching 245 weighing 125 is impressive, talk to that guy cause he is doing something right. And its not always about size, more about strenth. I played hockey and some of the smallest guys were able to hit just as hard if not harder then allot of the bigger guys. It's all about knowing to use ure weight to get around and having a strong core.

well im pretty sure that weighing in at 135 right now I dont have fat on me. Ive definatly been outta shape since I got outta HS but I didnt let the bod go to the shitter. lifting time decreased as college took over, but im back on my routine now. I would definatly like to "look bigger" but im not gonna go waste money on it. i have free gym at my apt and also UC just built the best rec center in the nation, so they say ahha. I dont wanna look like a gorilla, plus my girl knows im dead sexy and ill keep it that way haha.

how could i bench 245 weighing in at 125 senior year of HS and not have any muscle to show for it? plus I cant get too big or else i will look like popeye, like some kid 5'6 looked rediculous. and i need to be able to throw a ball and shit haha.

Diet is the most important part of lifting, if your diet is not in check forget about it. There is lots of resources on the http://forums.steroid.com/

forum. Become a member, read up on peoples past diets and post one that is curtailed to you and people (real body builders) will comment on them and help you dail it in. People really know their shit on that site about lifting routines and diets, also steriods (don't bother doing steriods untill you have platuea'd anyway it's a waste of time, your first 6 months of lifting if you do it right will be incredible for gains (I gained 17.5 pounds in 6 weeks last summer after getting my diet dialed) and I'm a really hard gainer (ectomorph). Check it out and read up.
