Best video game system?

In my humble opinion, the N64 was the greatest system of all time. I was just going through all my old shit and I found it along with starfox, goldeneye, zelda and a bunch of other gems that made my childhood (and today) happy.

What's your guys' favorite video game system?

N64 was the tits because of it's simplicity. I love my PS3, but every game has a million different controls in an attempt to make it more realistic. N64 was more arcade style and games like Star Fox and Golden Eye will always be tough to match due to just having an awesome game play that had just enough to it.

agree with the N64. shit was the business. mario kart and smash bros over anything these days apart from skate 2.

I wish I stockpiled a shitload of 64 controllers back in the day. Stiff joysticks are fucking impossible to find these days.

100 bucks to anyone who can beat me in Mario Kart

As far as the console goes id have to say that ps3 is the best because it has interent and blue ray and just never breaks. BUT xbox 360 is more funnererer

i made a knaye thing for this but it looks like ass- im not a old-timey knid of guy so 360 ftw hands down

xbox 360 is obviously the beez kneez but playstation 2 kept me so entertained for so many hours without online here is why
all tony hawksall nhl hitzall GTAstate of emergencyjak and daxterratchet and clankall SSX
and theres more but those games lasted me a good 7 years until i got my xbox

well seeing as this sight is full of 15 year olds they don't understand that there is more than ps3 or 360 so most people will probably vote for that. however, I remember back in the day I had the sega genesis with the 3D modulator thinging for added graphics, and the sega saturn for discs all plugged together in one giant stack. that shit was dope. also, if you guys remember dreamcast? that shit was dope! so many free games you could just burn any game you ever wanted to play for that shit. so dope.

heres a picture of something similar to my old sega setup. mostly concentrated on the left is what i had cookin'.

For its time, definetly the 64. All those games consumed my life... both the Zeldas, Banjo Kazooie and Tooie, 1080 snowboarding, Goldeneye... all soooo money'

Right now I would say PS3 for its hardware and 360 for its software, although I prefer 360. PS3 has a shitty controller, get something new.

the sega systems were unreal. i agree we should have people post their age along with what they think the best system was, most of these kids were probably too young to truly enjoy n64 and older, even i was almost a little too young to enjoy the sega dreamcast/saturn/genesis.

n64 - 19

Sonic On dreamcast was awsome along with sstreet fighter on sega genesis but best of all time is deffinetly PONG the originator of video games

N64 will always be awesome to me. Even blowing into the cartridge didn't bother me, and I still play Super Mario, Donkey Kong and Pokemon Snap from time to time.

Xbox, is a great system but is cursed with the RROD. I played some Halo 2 ( I know, old stuff), and Borderlands today. Xbox has more popularity with online gaming, but I like PS3 better because it has a BluRay player and free internet, and of course, doesn't get the RROD.

n64 mario cart is the best thing ever, we would play it get inspired then go race our bikes and throw shit at each other.

i find it hard to believe no one has said ps2. it had so many great games come out for it and always made for a good time and still does

agreed. I love ps2 (because i cant afford ps3) but i really do think that good gameplay is more important than graphics and being realistic

Just because we were too young to understand the concept of SEGA and N64 doesn't make us ignorant fucks that you make us out to be. I started on the original PlayStation and loved it. I'm sure thats how it happened with you and your SEGA Genesis

i think youre completely missing what he is saying. youre taking his comment wayy too personally. what i read it to say was that being that you were too young to have owned and enjoyed one of the older systems, you dont have as much to base your opinion from. that doesnt at all mean what you think is wrong, just that you had different things to shape your opinion.
