Best video game system?

No hate in my thread! Arrrr!

Sega Genesis was the shit, only one kid I knew had it, and he was super rich so he could afford it.
 
Best ever or best right now.

Best ever is the N64. I remember walking through wall mart and they had the 64 hooked up for a display model. Goldeneye was the game in the glorious machine. I picked up the sticks and was blown away. The graphics were insane at the time and you could do so much cool shit.

I got one for Christmas that year and me and my brother sat in my basement for weeks playing every game. We played goldeneye non stop making up game types and outlawing Oddjob, we had the game genie so we could walk through doors and extend some levels. I even split the coax feed, ran it to 2 tv's, covered up the screens and put a blanket in the middle of the room so that you couldn't screen watch. Fucking awesome.

The only thing that comes close is epic Halo sessions on Xbox 1. 4v4 was great times.

Best right now as far as hardware is PS3, best as far as software and online play is 360 by far, the PS3 online community sucks ass and the controlers also blow imo. The next gen consoles are going to be pretty insane, I would doubt if in 5 years you need a controller at all.
 
N64 definetly if we r not going with the 360. I know its way before my generation but for how old it is the system is pretty sweet. My dad still had it when i was a kid and i played it alot. The only thing i played more was final fantasy on the PS1
