in my opinion crichton and iannick are definately the best rail riders in the sport of skiing, and guess what...they both rollerblade. rollerbvlading is insane and helps so much with rails on skis, now you people can say the typical 'rollerblading is gay' i have heard it thousands of times but think about it. another skier who rollerblades is ashley battersby and damn does she rip on rails.

pep! pep does not rollerblade - and he is my favourite skiing rail artist. Not to mention tanner, who has 270s and 450s more dialed than anyone else - and he does not rollerblade.

Iannick is the only person I've ever seen 630 onto a rail, lock on, and stay really controlled and slide another 20 feet.

man if u have a town with teh right rails and shit then its cool but most skateparks have nothing for bladers caus ehtere arent any. and i was watcing the blade park movies on expn.com and its the sickest thing ive ever seen. they go huge and land switch on blades. its INSANE!

ive never rollerbladed before but i do all that crazy tech stuff on skis like onefooted slides and the like. i keep it stylie and under control. when u see nicky adams do onefooted slides its total rollerblader steeze(all overthe place)

the only skating that is sick is if you are on a board, and its not attatched to your damn feet. roller blading is in fact lame, and the derivative of it is ski boarding, not skiing. Rail riding on skis is something evolved out of skate boarding, which is not lame.

i'd be willing to take this all back and applogize only if, and i mean this, only if the world limbo roller blade champion came up to me to make a case. but he;d have to be ducking under a fire stick and have hot chicks parade around with him, otherwise he;s a homo too

 
skateboarding is just as good for rails, if not almost better, because your using that kind of balance all the time.

^ no, you do lean back with almost all grinds with rollerblades...eevr hear of a royal? i think that does fuck up my skiing just a tad, you just have to rmemeber not to go with your muscle memory when you get onto a rail on skis

All I have to say about the subject is that D-Structure is just as much about rollerblading than it is about skiing.

We have always had more support from pro skiers than we ever imagined.

Actualy, I don't know any other companies that promotes rollerblading like we do and still have some of the worlds most well known skiers support or ride for us, and even invest and own part of the company.

Wouldn't they be afraid to be associated with gayness?

Some of them roll, some of them used to or don't at all. It doesn't really matter because they respect rollerblading for what it is; sick.

Maybe those who say it's gay because they saw a little kid at the park look like an idiot or because they wanna be cool at school where skateboarding is now the mainstream thing to do.

The questions is have you ever been face to face with a top am or pro rollerblader?

Today's level has more to do with being a crazy stunt death defying ninja than being gay.

Seriously, all the arguments to call rollerblading gay could just be used by someone else to describe skiing.

It's fine if you don't like it, just don't be a trendy hypocrite calling it what it's not...

That is why I tend to hate on rollerblading - and i am one of the few who do with reason (most kids call it gay because thier friends do). But seriously, 3 switchups on a rail, triple backflips in the pipe, cork 1260 lui kang - all huge tricks in rollerblading and all disgustingly ugly in my opinion. While i dont make fun of people for rollerblading (except for some of my friends), i just wanted to lay down a solid argument against the sport that isnt 'rollerblading is gay.' Im probably upset because the rollerblading skiers (excluding crighton) are pushing the sport in a direction i dont want to see it go. I have no problems with you kids going out on your rollerblades and tap dancing across rails, but i hate watching that on skis. Bringing rollerblading tricks to snow should not be done on skis - it should be done on snowblades.
