best skiers on rails rollerblade

Have you watched a good Rollerblading movie?

I havent, but im sure there is some stylie riders. You probably have just been watching competitions. There gona spin to win just like any other sport (ie skateboarding). I think rollerblading is more fun to watch then skateboarding and I skate. It's just more relative to skiing and I think it has more style in general then skateing.

tho you tried to make your arguments sound intelligent, you failed. Rollerbladers pushing YOUR sport in a direction you dont approve???? YOUR sport does not belong to you nor anyone...hence it does not go in only one direction. Every one has different styles, everyone tries different things, everyone pushes skiing in different ways. Besides, weither or not rollerblading has influence on skiing does not change the fact that someone was going to try one foot rails and switch ups...and why? cuz it's harder, it makes things more difficult, and we as skiers, are always trying to push the limits of whats possible.

You have no facts, no reasonable argument to explain what you say, opinions don't count for shit because even the dumbest people have them. Like what you like, but dont hate on others for liking what they do. I have respect for all x-treme sports athletes, even stick flippers, becuz everyone throws down in their own way.

I agree about this. I rollerblade and i can grind handrails and everything. The first day i had a pair of twin tip skis, i did a 15 ft shotgun barrel rail. The only bad thing is that say you do frontsides on skates, you have a groove in yourre frame to lock in but on skis i had to learn how to stay on without a groove like skates. But yes it does help alot

JSRF is a cool game

and rollerblading was cool and sick before skating skiing or anything else, and they've always been cool and people say they suck but never when they actually see one blade. My skater friends said that they sucked until they were doing some stairs and a blader just does a switch 3 down and keeps going, they have it on vid and its fuckin cool

 
but anyways skiing and doing rails is cool and fun but honestly it DOES just kick so much more ass when snowboarders do them... no offense, booters, big tables and seth style big mountain is now where it's at i think. I just get slightly bored with dvds with to many rails.

First, Liu Kangs where there before skiers were influenced by rollerblading. Actually LK's where awfull with one foot kicking down while knee up, untill the RB style gave it a bit more flavor.

About one foot grinds (talking about makio style), I agree they don't look that great, but at least someone is trying something different and may lead to something completly new...

Besides, I've seen CR try them years ago and he's always been against RB influence. Never stopped him trying it, because he said it was a 50-50...

Skate, roll, surf, snow whatever will influence skiing its all good.

As long as we don't stay status quo the sport will evolve, mutate, mature, progress...

Everyone thinks inline skating is 'gay' becuase of what they show on tv, those competitions on espn of Fox are lame, they just huck everything, but dont make fun of the sport till you see some Videos today, stuff that has so much style it would blow your mind, and the idea that inline should never have an influence on skiing is retarded, cause it already has, more than anyone knows, everyone hates on inline cause they think it looks easy or because they think it looks dumb, thats because its hard to find kids that are really good at it, because everyone wants to skateboard cause of TOny Hawk, Xgames and other shit, ohh and i think a royals would look sick on skis, on kinked boxes or round rails, Steele spence does one in Sterotype

aceofspades used the worst argument ever. people could say the same thing about skiing. say you'd never seen newschool skiing before, and then you saw was greg t. doing 1260s in the pipe, cr throwing his 1440s, or to an extent sammy carlson doing 2 or 3 switchups and spinning on and off a rail. then by definition, skiing would be gay too.

all aceofspades has seen are the huckers of rollerblading. i dont roll, never really have, but i can appreciate a skilled and stylie rollerblader in the same way i can appreciate a skilled and stylie skier. and bythe way, d-structure is siick.

If you think rollerblading is that gay. Put skates on and do a switch 450 inspin and land and 2 inch peice of plastic that is under your foot. The rail is 4 foot tall and I am pretty sure that you can't even jump high enough with normal shoes.

rollerbladeing is gay, not all good rail skiers rollerblade, tanner is fuckin wicked at rails and he skateboards. Skogen sprang is a big mountain skier, but i have seen vids of him on rails and he can hold up, and he skateboards too. my point is skateing is 100x better than blading

ok, yes, blading and skateboarding are both great influences on skiing. I totally believe that.

Sliding rails requires the technique to LOCK onto them, so when your not skiing grab a board or skates and hit up some rails. Get used to the feeling of getting on the rail and staying locked on.

I think it's sick how much easier for bladers it is to switch up grinds on a rail. I wish you could do that on skis.

Personally I skateboard. It's much cheaper than buying some good blades. The fact is, you either do one or the other and you will see your skills progress so much!!

dude inline rollerblading is dead, it sucks. What takes real skill are those 4 wheelers, now anyone who has the balls to ride around on some of those considering how gay they'll look has my respect. Aggresive rollerblading is crap, theres nothing to it and the grinding looks like shit anyways. The only way I could see riding some are if your an old guy out for a nice rollerblade around the park or if you can't afford to play ice hockey so you play roller.

Well for all of you that saw the November freeze they had the letters about rollerblading. I dont know understand why there has to be all this tension about if it does or doesnt influence your skiing. You can be good any way jsut as long as you have large BALLS

 
i skateboard, never rollerbladed, i think skateboarding has just as much influence because balance is still there say for 5050's, and nose/tail slides are whats the next generation skiers will be bustin... just wait for the noseslide pretzels on dub kink handrails... pretzel i meant 270 out, snowboards call it pretzels and danishs these days... anyways youll know what i mean if you've seen love/hate... skiers will get there and it will be sick...

but i very much dislike triple backflips and pretty mcuh everything in the x games... but i saw this sick rollerblader on tv who looked pretty ghetto, but was busting really stylish grinds... so i gotresect there when they can throw down and make it look good... ithink the underground scene is awesome in rollberblading and the known part of it sucks.

What i know about rollerblading is that they are all about going the biggest and doing the Ga-narliest things possible, but more than that it seems like they are doing to try and show up skateboarders. And I don't like that. So I would rather not have Skiing go in that direction.

 
i think you should all watch some rollerblading dvds, watch kfc III straigh jacket, or mindgame words. Rollerblading is the most tech sport without a doubt, its amazing. Like brian aragon doing topsoul 900 out. explain that...

 
fruit booting doesn't help nemore than the rest. They all help your balance, rollerblading is retarted and wont help you out any more than the rest of the stuff does

^^Man you are such an idiot. Watch any rollerblading vids, if you want to see some style. I'm not talking about tapdancing, these guys are really pushing the limits and just ooze style. And if you don't like 1 footed grinds or 50/50s don't do them, anything that gives variation to skiing is good. And for fucks sake, if you don't like rollerblading, SKIING WILL NEVER TURN INTO ROLLERBLADING, it just can't physically happen. It's true, skateboarding and rollerblading will both make you better at jibbing, rollerblading does have the tendency to teach you to lean back, but learning things like 270s on/off and 450s on are much easier on blades and work as a great stepping stone, you can't deny that.
