Breckenridge, but dont come here:
1) Lodging and properties, theres a crapload that you can rent, though its competitive but you can pull it off, live in a sweet place, and have your own hot tub area
2) town. 66 restaurants, 34 bars, all within about a 2mile radius total
3) the main strip of town: great people watching area
4) the view of the mountain, stunning and amazing on sunset
5) simply walking about town is fun
6) convenient, close to civilization, example denver and all of summit county
7) development increasing which can be good or bad the way you look at it
8) affordable. breck is not aspen nor is it vail. it is reasonable , however it is also on the uprise
9) the people. there are so fuckin awesome locals here
10) the history, breck was 2nd most producing town in the gold rush in colorado, (leadville first)
11) the town parade of Ullr Fest, all their Beer Fest, and Octoberfest
12) the open container law is DEF not enforced from my experience
13) the fact that you can live downtown be a 5min walk from the ski lift or a 5 min walk from the bars and make your cost of living reasonably affordable for a ski town
14) the police, are, for the most part, relaxed more then normal cops. we used to have people over a lot and the police would always be so polite when they showed up at our door. think about it - tourist town, police have to be chill, dont wana scare those tourists away
15) The state of colorado is settled. there are people around you other then the ski town. ( montana, wyoming there is no one)
16) The religious vibe and overall from the state it is in fun. Unlike other states.....that enforce liquor laws.
17) The overall vibe of the town: just wants to have fun.
This is just about the town itself. I will not include stuff about the mountain because the topic was simply "best mountain town"
