Bdog X-games

I feel bad for casabon after watching xgames. Bdog can't throw doubbles but he has the sickest steeze ever. So he lost kinda becouse of that. But, i mean like other athletes like andreas or whatever have trained hard to learn it and progress the sport. But if phil casabon want to stay in the top he have to progress to. What's your thaughts?

Casabon should learn doubles!

he can do edit with inspireed without doing dubs ! cmon! the xgame? i know he is steezy but cmon! Andreas can do 4 kind of dub cork and he can do kang both side! How could u win without doubles?

*doesn't try

it's not a difficult one - he won't win comps unless he starts to match everyone else on technicality. But he will still put out great edits/segments.

So you pretty much want to see everyone last one of them do the same run?? I know I don't. Watching b-dog is so refreshing. Especially at X when everyone seams to be pulling the same tricks over and over and over and over....

this. I'll watch b-dog's run more closely than all the others, simply because it is unique and different.

C'mon, his runs flat out sucked compared to the rest of the field, couldn't keep his tricks together in the air nor landings. Wasn't his day, but saying that everyone else has the same tricks or run is absurd.

We saw combinations of unnatty kang 180 to sw flat 900 to rodeo 1080 by Harlaut. Steezy as fuck. With doubles. No one else did a combo like that, the options are limitless.

yea i think he should learn them. he had so much style up top but it was just less impressive in the jump section. he could kill the comps if he learned them

Maybe it's not so much about what he HAS to do to win, but what he WANTS to do. What is his intention coming into X games?
Is it winning? He's not stupid and he knows he has to throw doubles. So if he really wants to win he would have learned doubles because i'm sure he can. But maybe that is not the most important thing for him.Maybe he just wants to show the world there is another kind of skiing then just doubles en technicality and where better to show that than on x-games. He's showing his own style and creativity to the whole world. So he's not winning with the run he did, maybe that is not the most important thing for him.

i really liked his style on the rails (not surprisingly)

270 on, butter 360 to railslide, and tailpress blind 270 out from rainbow.. amazing.

yeah i love bdog one of my favorite skier but he could have done something different on the jumps. Yes there were different grabs but I wanted to see something else

no, they are just ugly and overrated. him and henrik are sending the sport in the right direction.

i'm all for henrik and bdog, but stop with that stupid "oh the sport has to go this way" bullshit. if you haven't noticed, the sport is plenty big enough for everyone to carry their own style you jackass. skiing isn't going to magically turn everyone into the same style and hey if you don't like how they judge park comps, change the fucking channel or turn it off and go skiing. it's not a big deal. you along with all the other dumb pricks out there, stop trying to turn nothing into something.

doubles are so damn boring. all i saw in the big air last night was dub cork 12 high mute. everyone did it at least once. and then they do it in there slope run. it is all the fucking same. you know what would take real skill, a styley zero spin on that jump. cork blunt 5. true nose 7. this shit would get 50 from me.

big air should be delorme, b-dog, henrik and ahmet. that would be some awesome shit right there.

henrik does some steezy tricks, but he still throws some dub 12s, and some bio 14s (ie spins like a top) what do you call that direction?

phil on the other hand has got some dope steeze, i really liked his switch misty ten truck, probably a lot harder than it looks, but a part from that trick his jump tricks did not change much from llast year. i know he does not want to do dubbs, but spinning straight 12s (is lots of spinning, i dont get how its less of a hucking trick than doing dubbs), i know it's not his way to progress the sport so in that case phil should stop doing contests, because after this year i think his style of skiing is not meant for contests at all. He should focus 100% on not doing contests because contests suck anyways

B-dog will soon disappear from contests I think if he doesn't learn dubs and that is just fine.

Then he can film one filthy movie part because really in the skiing world movie segments are talked about/remembered longer then contest results.

Didn't you see his switch 12? It was the most hucked trick done in the slope finals. And i'm not even kidding. Ugly as shit.

His rail section was definitely better than all the others though.

so 3 relatively easy tricks get perfect scores, go die.
I wish people like you would just never talk, I feel less intelligent after reading it.

Look I love watching Casabon in edits and movies, and yes the technicality of his rail tricks is so strong that it gets him into competition finals, and this is great. Its always lots of fun to see a totally different take on the slope course to everyone else, and for whatever reason he doesn't want to do doubles and thats awesome, hats off to him for sticking to style

However I just feel like he's wasting a spot for someone who has the trick difficulty to win. For example Casabon essentially bumped out Jossi in elimination, and we all know Jossi has both the rail and jump game to potentially win it. But Casabon just can't win unless all the other guys fall or decide not to do doubles. Seems kinda stupid to me. oh well get to watch some cool runs regardless, if he can land them...

I think it's sick that he's in it at all, not many people are so recognized for style that they can score a spot in x games doing 9s and 10s. At least he gets the opportunity to put some variety in what people see.

if he wanna win he needs it but it's looking so gnarly much better with steezy tricks, every pro should just stop doing them ,or something

I honestly don't understand why he's invited every year. Sure he's good, but if you're going out every year and not contending, why even show?

lolololol, when was the last time he medaled in any x games discipline? Oh that's right, never.

Let me ask you another question. Does he stand a chance at medaling should he not learn doubles? No, he does not.

Which brings me to another question. Why invite a rider to x games that refuses to keep up with the technical progression of the sport, and hence won't be in medal contention?

I know all you kids love teh talll teez and corked nine bluntz, but this isn't a fucking movie part. It's a comp.

I agree with you, but i see why xgames would want him.

They need variation in their riders or i would be to repetitive.

I worded that weird. B-dog just keeps it steezy and doesn't do any dubs thus not progressing slope except for his rail tricks (which were apparently dope but I didn't see them). I am sure the other competitors could do the exact same tricks he did but instead choose to do doubles because it gets them a higher score and isn't the point of a competition to win? I think they should invite him though since he does change it up a little bit and even I get tired of watching dub 10s and 12s with a mute grab after a while.

when was the last time a majority of skiers have competed in any x-games event? who fucking cares if he hasn't medaled in his TWO x-games appearances. he made finals both times which shows he has more skill than the others he beat out in pre-lims. he may not have a chance to make top 3 but what kind of stupid prick denies someone the future chances to compete only because they didn't get on the podium from TWO tries? i'm sorry do you have some sort of psychic ability that allows you to see the future progression of every rider? again, it really must hurt being as stupid as you.

i feel like casabon's first double will be a switch dub bio or misty with a double japan.

and it will be dope shit.

I have the ability to know that if he doesn't learn doubles he isn't going anywhere in the comp scene.

You would deny him the chance to compete because it's obvious that he's not going to medal. Put Jossi in the finals, He is a serious contender. If you honestly think someone can get on the podium doing, super steezzzyyy rail trickz, then you are a fool.
