Bay Area Police fatally shoot restrained man with video proof

thats money man, i agree with it all. here's an NS'r who actually has common sense in posting.

I hope the cop goes to jail and he will most surely die a more painful death in prison than the judicial system could give him.

if you dont want trouble with the police dont break the law. its that simple. if your a cop you never know when someones gonna turn a gun on you or anything. and the ignorant fuck the police attitude doesnt help. the dumb shit probably made some move that made it look like he was going for a gun or something. the officer had a split second to decide and he made the wrong one. a cop in my town was shot 4 times in the head when he pulled a guy over for loud music. he left behind his 3 month old daughter. point is, this wouldnt have happened if the dumbass didnt break the law

Because being face down and prone with your hands behind your back can totally be misconstrued as "going for a gun"?

And just because he had a split second to decide doesn't mean what he did was any more right. He made the WRONG decision. When I made the wrong decision as a kid, I was punished. The cop should be punished. And not the internal investigation ending in an honorable discharge and severance pay and pension bullshit.

i said the cop made the wrong decision. but you can clearly see that dumb shit struggling with the cops right before. so it may have looked like he was reaching for a gun. point is, people who dont break the law i dont run into problems like that. so maybe if people werent such dumbasses things like this wouldnt happen. anyone with that whole fuck the police attitude is just an ignorant douche and should probably consider suicide. the cops are there to protect you from lawless jackasses like that fuck who got shot.

was it just me or did the lawyer look like the least credible lawyer in history? Interviewed in a messy room wearing an eagles sweatshirt?

But anyways.

Yes this is fucked up, but you never know as a cop. And i hate the way the video keeps saying "appeared..." Many years ago my dad was working alongside another officer doing an arrest. The man they were arresting "appeared" to be restrained, and "appeared" to be unarmed. (They hadn't been able to check him yet) but then he "appeared" to pull something from his pants, and "appeared" to fire it. And the other officer...well, he didn't appear to have been shot and killed. He was. (instead of pulling his gun and firing my dad did the fastest thing he could...he kicked the guy in the jaw breaking it, and stunning him allowing him to get a thorough beatdown while the gun was taken)

On NS, we can say whatever we want, but we do not have the facts. I know it's terrible and shouldn't have happened, but we simply don't know exactly what happened.

And no, this guy probably won't go to prison. He's a cop, meaning that as much as we all hate it, he does have a higher authority than we do. If that guy hadn't fought, and hadn't resisted, he wouldn't have put himself in a position where a cop may draw, and fire on him.

Actually, looking back...we shouldn't even call this guy a cop. He's a power tripping security guard.

that is so fucked up, how could you be that much of a pussy to shoot someone like that? bitchass cops scared to take a beating even though its pretty clear that none of them were acting up. So he shoots the kid because hes shook? so fucked up.

I'd love to argue with you on this civilly but after this I don't think I can.

There are millions, make that billions, of people on this planet, that come from a different "world" than you. A lot of them grew up learning that the police aren't there to protect them, simply to cause them trouble. Like it or not it is true. Generations have grown up learning that they need to care for their own because when it gets into the nitty gritty, there won't be a police force to help you. They are also taught that the police don't have the right to push you around and you need to stand up for your rights as a human.

Just next time before you call millions of people with a different perspective on life than you "ignorant douches who should probably consider suicide" maybe think that their perspective might not be wrong.

this page of this thread has turned ridiculous, point is, the cop shot a man at point blank for no apparant reason and it is sick, end of discussion, it was wrong. cops are given guns to protect themselves in highly dangerous situations, not to shoot someone to gain power over them. you cant back up this cop on this case.

That is why officers are armed with O.C. spry. so that you dont have to shoot them, you can just spray them and they are down, there is no way someone could put up a fight with O.C. spray in they eyes.

that is retarted they already had him on the floor i mean y even take ur gun out. the officer that shot him must have been a pussy if he didnt think he could handle keeping the guy on the ground without shooting him. the only time an officer should pull his gun especially around a crowd of people out is in a life or death situation.
