Sublimination is one way, die cuts are another.
Die cuts make the ski bases a bit slower, and also make it more likely you will have durability issues.
Sublimination is a bit hard because you need the right equipment, and talking with a few graphics guys about it they have said that the ink can actually migrate in the base material, blurring the graphics a bit if it isn't done perfectly.
Anyway, I prefer just thick, strong black bases. Functional, easy to fix, basically all that I need.
Maybe someday I will look into the sublimination option, but for me it seems like a unneeded expense.
