Ok, so my friend and I are having a disagreement. I am dating this girl and my friend says that i need to ask her about what he has done before, like how far she's gone. I told him that i would rather not know and that it seems impolite to me to ask a girl that and that i am generally uninterested in any of her previous activity. He said its important because you need to know if you are gonna get some disease or something. I told him that if we ever reach that stage in our relationship, i'll find out, but for now, i don't really care. He said that she even told him about what shes done and that its not that big of a deal to ask. She told me that it's not a rude question at all but i still don't want to find out. Am I trippin or what?

they'll be a time and place to ask that question, but for now, i don't really think its any of your business to ask her.

Because after a while or when things start gettin serious comunication and honest are a big part of a relationship...so its not so much needing to know the names of the guys/girls your partners been with but, you both should feel comfortable talking about it with each other
 
i'm not so sure...this just occurred on friday. but me and this girl went out and all and i guess we were in the beginning stages of dating but i don't know. we got on that subject and i found out some stuff. real big turn off for me. but to each his own. just don't be be pissed off if you find out shes been around the block

Don't ask, don't tell. I don't want to know who/what my boyfriend's done, although he's my best friend so we now know some of that stuff about each other, it comes naturally with the territory of 3 years dating off and on, but when the relationship seems like it's going to get physical, just make sure she's had her annual check-up and you've had your's and you're both clean and ready to go. Otherwise, it's just not that important.

#2 If he doesn't... you need to find some more mature friends. Dudes are supposed to help each other out. I hate when bitch-ass dudes go behind other guy's backs and talk to girls about them. So what if you've never kissed a girl before. From the sounds of it, you guys are younger, probably going to some white, upper-middle class, suburbian highschool. The chance of you getting an STD are EXTREMELY low. Most girls that young have actually had vaginal sex with 0-2 different guys. And they were probably so fucking nervous at the time, they triple bagged it and pulled out. And making out and oral sex has an extremely low probability of STD transmission because saliva is not a good medium for a lot of viruses to reside in, let alone transfer to someone else. The virus has to pass through many membranes to be taken into the blood stream.

Given the situation, you have nothing to worry about as far as STD's go.

I would only be concerned if she's the type of girl that likes to hop in the car with her girlfriends and take drives to the local college campus on weekends, get drunk and stay over "her girlfriend's close guy friend's appartmnet".

however we are not some stupid suburbanities, i live in SF. but yes, we do go to some upper middle class high school, but no it is not all white. and she goes to some big catholic school

And trust me you don't really wanna know for your own sanity. I found out this girl i was dating fucked/sucked this other guy i really hated. It really wasn't the same after that.
