Asher crank dies

i didnt know asher personally but i competed with him at nationals in tahoe last spring... i saw the headline of an article tittled colorado skiier dies... i started reading expecting the usuall story, but once i saw his name i was stunned... its so crazy to remember him so alive and vibrant and now no longer being with us... RIP bro...

I just saw him throw down in a lil' exhibition crested butte put on last week while I was there skiing for the week. Kid was killing it, throwing 270 on swithup, 270 0ff the smith limo all day. So sad to hear about this. RIP bro!

Asher will be missed incredibly here in Crested Butte. Never forgotten, but missed everyday.

Ben summed up the accident to a tee, so that should be the sole reference...

here's a pic from that Smith Limo rail jam from CB a few weeks ago - Asher killin' it:

wow thanks for clearin that up man, I was at copper that day but didn't know about it till later that afternoon when I went to catalyst and a ski patroller told me what happened. It's so scary that a mistake that any park skier/rider could easily make can be so dangerous. I hope it's at least true that he didn't have to suffer. that's unreal, RIP

damn man he was one nice kid i haven't seen him in a year...since the ygo i believe he was by far one of the nicest kids out there its really true the good die young he's the second kid in two years thats died that i used to ride w/ at HN rip it up with oot man RIP

his mum owns Butte and Co, it's kind of our place, it's always been our place. He's my favorite, and I really can't believe he's gone, we really did everything today with skiing, he was always the one who motivated me and got me stoked on trying new tricks, from quiting racing together, getting a freeride team started, high north and all those other years, I always love ya babe. Ben thanks for the awesome info on his crash, I wish I could of been at the hospitol with you all, I can't wait to come home and just be with the team again. I love you ashwani, am going to miss you more than anything

pip, you were always his favorite... he still loves you just as much! its tragic. no words besides that. please, no one hesitate to contact me with any questions. Much love asher, you will never be forgotten

wow that is absolutely terrible, it got me thinking about how carelss i was being today damn.

oh my god.. rest in peace. wow. that is one of the saddest things ive ever heard. rest in peace. prayers go out to his family and friends. he was one of us..wow. rest in peace.

That's soo scary to hear, it can happen to any of us. it's so easy to forget the danger we put ourselves in every time we boot up. RIP, and love to the family, I can't even imagine what they're going through.

Wow speechless right now. RIP, and hope his family and the team recovers fast. I'm really really sorry to hear this

Rest In The Mountains Asher!!! Makes you think about life pretty seriously after you hear a story like this. To think that you can be having a casual day in the park with your buddys and then be at thier funeral in a week. Puts things in prespective real quick. I will be thinking about this when I go skiing tomorow and how accidents happen and that you have to be ready when it does.

RIP br-ah, always shitty see young peeps die, but if its any consollation he was doin what he loved at the time. Best of luck to his fam and friends
