Asher crank dies

Asher did have a history os headaches in the past. I do not know how many if any concussions he had ever had. Its just tragic. But we are all stronger because of him!

Wow. That story has truly touched my heart. What a tragedy. Its tragic how something can happen like that. But its amazing how the skiing community comes together and mourns for a fellow rider just like us. Thats why I love this sport so much. This community of skiers is amazing. Asher, even though I did not know you nor saw you once ski, you are a legendary skier. Rest In Peace my brother on skis. Have fun shredding it up there in Heaven. R.I.P.

ya now im kinda scared cause i just got a concussion last april that put me in the hospital so the next one i get will be exponetialy worse they say

oh ya and RIP i was at copper and heard about it but never found out the conditoin. CB is soo sick at least he got to rip some gnar terrain while here

yeeea dude. catching an edge sucks. tahts what put me in the hospital for 2 weeeks a few yearsa go with 3 broken ribs, a bleeding kidney and yes, down one ovary. ccathing an edge up to a jump. be careful out there ... you can never be too safe.

I thought that was from landing on some signs that was placed on the side of the landing? Something along those lines?

RIP to a great skiier, so unfortunate that he couldn't enter the comps, cause true talents don't appear very often

Shred for him... never forget... RIP and condolences to the family and friends... to let a shred bro go this early is a fucking tragedy... he'll be getting 365 days in every year!

Asher's funeral will be held tomorrow January 20th at 11:00 AM at the Crested Butte Community School. Anyone that would like to attend come help us remember our dear lost friend. Following we will be doing CB park laps in rememberance of our fellow ripper, it is what he would want us to do. If anyone has more ?'s feel free to PM me or Sac@TwoPlankProductions.

RIP Buddy - We Miss You

That has got to be one of the best ways to remember someone I have ever heard, I'm sure he's smiling down on you all right now.

And i forgot to mention we will be rockin' the park Asher style wearing the most flourescent one-pieces we can find, and rockin out to 80's Rock. Come jam with us to remember our amazing friend

After watching his video i came to realize that this guy was one that seemed always happy just lappin the park and chillin wiht his friends.

RIP

i rode with hime the summer after that was fillmed and he was already soo much better rip asher he was the last person to deserve this

Even though I had never had the honor of meeting Asher Crank I feel deeply saddened by his passing, I offer my condolences to his family, his friends, his coach, and any other aquatinces that will be afacted by his passing. I believe it is a very good idea from how you describe him to comemerate him by laping the park. May he rest in peace.

I'm gonna miss you buddy...

I can't make it to CB tomorrow but I will be doing laps in Breck in your name tomorrow.

R.I.P. my friend.

our memorial ski went OFF today. Picture ten of his buddies n 80's ski gear, rocking trains off every jump in the park.

This all followed a very beautiful service for him, as it truly was a celebration of life.

thats soo sad. its amazing how on eminute u can be enjoying life, riding the park with your friends and then all of a sudden its all over. RIP man.

I'm so sorry to hear the news. Absolute tragic accident. RIP. Sometimes bad things happen to good people because God knows we can handle it. I'll pray for his family and friends. +++vibes

Sorry to bump up this old thread, but I was biking at keystone the other day, and when we stopped at the upper station of the Argentine lift, I found a blue one of those rubber bracelet things reading; Asher Crank 1989-2007, Shred the Gnar. does anyone have any info on the bracelet?

this was already posted in here.

RIP

such a chilling story, that reminds us how easy it is to lose someone

RIP, Asher. It's such a sad day when we lose any member of the sport, especially such a sick contributor to the progression of skiing. May you Rest in Powder.

Those were made right after the accident to raise money for the Asher Crank Memorial Fund, pretty crazy seeing this thread come up from nowhere.

Missing you more than ever Asher.

damn i remember when this happened. such a sick skier and he had bright future ahead of him. real reality check since he was wearing a helmet
