a few years late here on the reply, but I’ve been rocking the ARV 116 jj for 2 seasons now. I have them mounted right between the two recommended mounting points, -2.5cm and 6cm, so they are at about -4.5cm. I mounted them with the thought that I’d use them to learn my spins in pow, but it really didn’t make a difference in my ability to do spins. It did however make it tougher to stay afloat in the pow. With that being said, if I did it again I would mount them at the recommended -6m for the ski to feel it’s best. REMEMBER, this is a ski Tanner hall helped design, and that -2.5 rec on the ski is where the master himself is mounting his JJs. He skis switch and lands switch all the time, so unless you’re getting buck like T Hall, I’d just go with the -6cm.
