Are your parents gapers?

I am proud to say that my mom rides twin tips, does butter 1's, hits boxes straight, and knows who tom wallisch and jossi wells are. How about you guys?

this better not be a repost

My mom doesn't ride twin tips, can't do anything in the park, and doesn't know any professional skiers. That being said, she isn't a gaper and has skied longer than most of the people on this website have...

my dad shreds hard on groomers and some woods

he'll hit a jump now and then

rocks oakley outerwear

my mom.... not the greatest

does my dad do tricks? no

does my dad wear bright baggy clothes? no

does my dad go off the side of jumps when i ski with him in the park? yes

is he a gaper? no hes a great skier who happens to not ski park... your definition of gaper seems to be way off from the impression i get

my mom shreds pretty well for a mom

my dad would be more of a jong than a gaper, if that means anything to anyone. He shred well, but isn't the smoothest with his gear and stuff sometimes, mostly doing bc stuff, like his pack is all over the place and stuff is hanging everywhere

but i still like to ski with the parentals

my mom is no park skier either. i just mean are your parents good skiers. I just think its sick that my mom is actually somewhat in touch with park skiing

Yes my parents look like gapers skiing. The best part is they pick up the tab at happy hour when we r done so thanks for the free beer! And my mom still rocks a purple 1 piece from 1989. I remember her teaching me how to ski in that thing

total gapers in every sense of the word. other than being obnoxiously obtrusive and snaking people in the park etc.

My mom doesn't ski, but my dad is pretty good at the ol' hotdogging style. Tight pants, legs glued together, weight way backseat, hell yeah. He'll hit little drops and pillows, kills moguls, and hunts pow turns. He won't do anything in the park except a spread eagle now and then off little jumps, but he's no gaper.

mom yea kinda. she doesnt act retarded tho. on the other hand iv skied the deepest pow of my life with my dad, he rides line prophet flites and is currently workin on stompin a 3.

fuck yea.

o yea i misunderstood your point of view sorry... that is pretty sick

most parents are totally unaware of the park scene

My mom is a part time ski instructor and skis 80-100 days a year.My dad was one of the people who helped get the US. disabled ski team recognized by The united states ski team and bring them into the program. He has Paralympic and and world championship golds, skied all around the world and still shreds today. Also has skied the highlands bowl which was a huge accomplishment for him.

My dad kills it on his 190 Gotamas mounted with tele bindings... Dirty at all mountain, and occasionally hill pull out a front flip or a 3.

My mom... Not so much, she's more timid. She has fun on teles though and likes to get outside and just have fun with the sport.

Both my parents ski. They aren't really gapers per say, they just aren't great skiers. My dad rocks some of my old gear which is pretty rad.

They dont really ski park... But they both, my dad especially can rip everywhere else. He does cliffs, trees, and cornices and stuff like that but not really park.

My dad used to be really good. During the last few years of him skiing, we would go out and he would do 1s and 3s off side booters and such. He rode the yellow Scratch BC's, that I guess are now in my possession. Very sick skis.

My mom rides some steel Volants, haha. But she usually xc skis when she goes to the mountain.

my mom doesn't ski, my dad has a 70s neon redish-orange and blue jacket and sometimes skis in nothing but sunglasses, exposing his shiny bald head. serious gaper

My dad skis backcountry and can hit one or two boxes, so noMy mom is a complete gaper other that the fact that she knows who alot of pros are

my mom isn't the greatest skier but she definitely isn't a gaper. She can ski some double blacks but doesn't love it too much. she knows tom wallisch and simon and tanner. She actually watched the dew tour with me and she's seen eye trip haha

My mom hasn't skiied since 1988.

Whenever I hit a jump larger than 35ish feet I have to tell my dad he might want to go around, because he just started following me over jump lines one day and it kind of freaked me out when that came out of nowhere, haha. He didn't check it out or anything, just trusted my speed and started hitting them.

my dad is as good a skier as most people, he kills it in pow and on groomers and bumps, and me and my brother have outfitted him in bright green crowbars and sometimes he wears my air raid jacket
my mom isnt as good but shes still a pretty good skiier and neither of them have gaper gaps or cut people off in the park or ruin the park

^^ he also has prototype skis from the company unity snowboards cuz hes freinds with the owner, and you cant buy them anymore because it cost them too much to produce them, there 130 underfoot and 145 at teh fattest point

both my parents have been skiing for 30+ years. my dad had back surgery in december and the majority of his downhill skiing career is over. my mom has been teaching ski school in vail for the past 28 years. so yeah, she still skis.

This thread is funny.

90% of these activities classify you as a gaper on NS, yet if your parents are doing them they're not a gaper.

my mom totalt she wears rear entry boots and a dark purple jumpsuit form probably 50 years ago but shes acualy not bad

my dad no cus h trys to be cool so he buys the same stuf as me like saga but he just started skiing and does not want to ski park

my mom is a mad gaper.
my dad is pretty un-gaper.
he has 2 pairs of twin tips, (rossi S6s and S3s) and shreds pow, can do boxes sideways and errything.

my ma just gets really angry when my dad takes her on "the hard runs" and starts cussing like a small sailor
