I bought a syndicate hoodie second hand and I must say, it’s one of the nicest hoodies I’ve ever worn. The fabric is so nice and comfortable

No. They’re not ripping you off. Prices for everything have gone up. I run a printing business myself and it’s super annoying to have to raise the price, and not even see an increase in profit. It gets me mad bcs I know they’re thinking we’re price gouging when we’re actually the once’s getting screwed.

That’s because there was an avian flu outbreak (I think in the Midwest). They had to kill like 40 million birds or so. Prices should drop again in next year

something to notice: the price of pasture raised (the birds go outside) eggs has barely changed at all. For a while they were almost the same price as caged eggs. So I guess letting the birds go outside and breathe fresh air protects them from illness and makes them healthier, crazy concept right??

These however are mint, 3XL tall is the same size as my team size hoodie, and they are pretty waterproof too. Someone here put me on but I got 4 of them. Plus Murdoch’s got deals too occasionally

It’s literally the same as skating:
-material costs have gone up, thus making hard goods like skis and skate decks, more expensive.
- companies then barely make profit from hardgoods or even lose money, because they know if they raise prices people won’t buy their stuff.
- so instead of raising hardwood prices, they just subsidize their costs with soft goods, like t shirts and other clothing/accessories.
- soft good prices go up when materials/production/shipping get more expensive (duh), but also have to cover the rising costs of producing hard goods (skis, decks, bindings, trucks, ect).
- so we still have $60 skateboards and $500 skis, but more expensive clothing and Merch.
-For example: if skateboard prices had followed inflation since its inception in the 1950’s, a deck should cost you about $120 today. But companies know that nobody is gonna regularly but $120 decks, so they sell them at little to no profit- or even at a loss, and rely almost entirely on soft goods to help stay afloat.
