No I actually know people in Salomon. It's been a couple years now that they have been thinking abut dropping Simon Dumont for many reasons. Because of his poor attitude a lot of the time, he wasn't a very good face for the company. Also they were paying him a lot each year, way more than any other Salomon athlete. So why spend all the money on him when he has a poor outlook and is no long on the top of his game, when they could drop him and pay their newcomers much more such as Bobby Brown, at the time, and still have more money without him. Although I don't know exactly what happened in the end, whether he quit or they dropped him first.
