A camelback mountain in PA they have this bullshit rule where you have to pay for an extra pass to ski the park. do any other mountains do it? i understand why because it is a big park and it keeps gapers out but its bullshit. and dont give me shit about regionals no one checks those.

You said it yourself, it makes the park safer, and gives the park money to build new stuff and repair broken features. But sure, it's totally homosexual.

Mont Avila/Bromont in Quebec does it, also in the US Wachusset does this. Shits retarded but it does keep the gapers out. Plus its supporting your park, so why complain?

how can you hate on this? i've skied camelback plenty of times before, and with the amount of joeys that come down from NY, you should be thankful to spend a few extra bucks to ski the park in a safer environment. Like an above post stated as well, it brings money back into the parks, and lord knows the parks at camelback could use more funding.

Oh wow. You say it's gay but then you say it works? What the fuck is your problem. If there was no cost/red tape, then why have a pass at all? $5? Are you fucking serious?

i barely hit a 6 year old kid the other day coming off a rail. He fell over and started crying. I was nice and respectful but the mom was still being a bitch. Made me mad. Probably would not of happened if we had park passes.

i wish my mountain would better enforce park passes, or even make them a fee. like 7 bucks a day or 40 for a season or something, would keep out the little weekend warrior 6 year olds going over the lips of the rail jumps etc.

Brighton does this but hasnt started yet. I really don't like it. The little quiz you have to do is the most dumbed down thing ever. They(park staff) don't really care too much about feedback so it's pretty much just money down the drain.

Its not money down the drain, it is mainly for insurance purposes. Brighton got sued a couple years ago, which is why they didn't have jumps two seasons ago and why they make you pay $10 for a park pass (which is the cheapest out there i think)

yeah my mountain has them and they are only 10$ for a season. I wish there was a real test to get one though, pretty much anyone can pass it.

Park passes are the shit, it keeps your park safe and gaper free. The problem is, here at Mt Avila, they charge 20$ for the same basic (not innovative at all) park every year, and guess what, the park might be open for something like 2 months because of the shitty conditions, its not even open yet...

you're crazy.

I would kill for Breck to offer a park pass. Maybe then, they could afford a dedicated park chair. At the very least, it would mean I wouldn't have to spray gapers sitting in front of the flat box 3 deep and 5 wide.

Like everyone else said, I would kill for park pass enforcement. I can't tell you how many time I am going off the lip of a jump to see gapers on the landing, but by then it's already too late and shit gets real.

I would LOVE it if my hill did this. Too many times have I had to bail mid-air to avoid killing any chillenz on the landings, resulting in my having to get x-rays and MRI's. I'd rather pay $5-10 for a park pass than much, much more for medical bills...

id totally support my home mountain doing this, supports park crew and keeps out gapers, which in turn helps out park crew even more giving them less maintenence, and allows them to build bigger features without having to worry about people doing stupid things on them. seems like a total win win

a park pass? so many places do this now and it makes the park way better. i thought you were saying you had to pay for another lift ticket for the park, that would be retarded.

it's only a pain in the ass if they make you watch some stupidass video and take a quiz. devil's glen, ON you have to watch a 15 min video and take a quiz, only available at 9am and 1:30pm. and their park sucks dick anyways so i just don't go anymore.

haha this. also i would love one. at my local hill the jumps are at the bottom of the park and the is a merge from the main trail with the rest of the park and the little gaper shits cant even fucking look up hill, oh no so you have to wait for all the ass fucks to go THEN you go or cut em off and risk getting landed on by them. its so fucking stupid

I'd say it would be worth it in most places. Couldn't tell you how annoying it was at the mountain. at least 20 kids consistently standing at the top of the jump line waiting in the way then cutting people off and not actually hitting the jump. and the other half skied down and stood on the knuckle just in the way.

wow, dont come out to CA then. Getting your park pass out here involves passing a quiz on gay rights, watching an Ellen Degeneres show, and then finally milking a cow only using your mouth.

Sounds like you all keep it pretty darn hetero back east...

It actually makes the mountain more liable because you are giving them the okay to hit things or something along those lines.

Are they as gay as this??

the only place close to me that does something similar is winter park and they do it because they have huge features in there, kinda gay. although i ski at breck every once and awhile its like gaper capital of the world, they usually stay out of the park and there is no special pass
