Haha cool thread bump, when I posted I hadn't hit Corbets yet, I skied it last winter. We hit Jackson during the only weekend when they hadnt got new snow last year. It was warm the day before and it was cold and dry the 4 days we were there, things got very icy.
The day we hit Corbets ski patrol rapelled down it in the morning to open it rather than just skiing it. All the locals said it was super sketchy that day to. It was our last day there so we went for it. I went first, made a jump turn in and washed out into a ice wall. My ski went in and my body kept moving. The energy from this impact sheared my core in front of my ski and after I skied out of the rest of the Couloir I realized the only thing holding my ski together was my base. I skied all the way to the parking lot like this.
On a pow day or even a few days after new snow I think Corbets would be sick but when the snow starts to get firmer it gets gnarlier and higher risk.
