Getting pregnant is a like a career ending injury

I've always compared it to a parasite growing inside you... but that certainly works too

Trying not to get too backwards it’s only 10 pm, been trading naps with the wife I think we’re going home tomorrow. Don’t have a kid until COVID is over it’s way harder.

Cancel all the balloons, visitors and champagne toasts in the recovery room it’s pretty much a quarantine at the hospital

Wtf have you ever met a kid?

Yeah where would I get that assumption if I hadn't met one. Cuz apparently most people like the little shits for some reason

As someone who delayed going to college to basically party, but then went and eventually got a doctorate degree, traveled to 29 countries, and competed at a high level in several sports, I never thought I'd have kids. But I did. And its the best. But I still ski 70 days a year. And I still have a shitload of free time (lucky with my career).

I don't think you'll find too many people who have had kids say it is not, by far, the best thing to happen in their lives.

What do you do for work?

Would like to one day.

Until then, I get to be a cool uncle to my niece and nephew and help my sister teach them how to ski and stuff. Should be dope. My nephew is gonna be born in the summer and his name is Bode so look the fuck out, future comp circuits. And my niece of course is going to terrorize the mountain and any and all male skiers in her way.

Agreed, having kids is insanely hard but - without question - the absolute best. I have two kids who are 4 and 5.5, and life is so much more fun with them, especially now that they're getting into sports and activities.

Name that kid Dogfart

imagine rolling into school and being like my names Dogfart

Yea, 2. Oldest is 2.5. She started ski/snowboarding indoors just going straight down carpets for the last few months. I don't push her, she's tough but idk if it's her age or what but i'm not holding my breath that she really embraces or succeeds at skiing/snowboarding as she prefers the playground at the facility more than skiing/boarding, but if she does bet your ass I'm getting her in the park as early as possible.

Yes, 2 and 7 year old boys. They are carbon copies of the skier guy I jumped on chairlift with 16 years ago. ?

Is your children’s father still around, or has he dipped out?

We have been married for 12 years next month! Our relationship has only gotten better with age and he is a caring, hardworking, hands on father.

Idk why I never put it together that you're probably not 12 years old based on your name unlike how I imagine everyone else is on this site.

I have a dog. I'd like kids someday, but for now I'm collecting plants and thanking my IUD for putting in the work.

Yo I got 3 kids and I’ll tell you what. Love em, best things in my life, so much joy, so lucky to be “their dad “ and a part of their lives, but ya kids are GROSS, like, idw touch em, they’re always sticky and just yuk, especially other people’s kids and you don’t see clean ones, all the good ones been ushered into white vans and whisked away bc all I ever see are gross booger eating, sweaty lil dumb talkin no sense making can’t tie their shoes or put a toy back French fry throwing hooligans, but I love em they’re pretty awesome, all kids are and even with all the derpy kids out there, the generations below mine are just stacked with impressive young individuals who despite their booger eating tendencies I feel good knowing one day, these lil shits will be running things

Got a 5 and 7 year old and yes, kids are the grossest shit around. but tons of fun especially now that they can ski on their own just fine.

They do, no matter who you are, they only cost more and more as they age, I got 3 , ea. 4 years apart, one starting college in about 2 years OMG is that gonna take a toll on me wallet. Thank god ones a genius, my other daughters also just ridiculously smart, so maybe some scholarships there, but my son ??‍♂️...he’s probably gonna work for me and I imagine my wife will still be tying his fucking shoes when he’s 30.

I wonder how many active members have kids that are also active members? I cant imagine browsing NS and being like "holy shit dad, why are you arguing about some stupid shit with a 12 year old online and telling people to pee in butts"
