Anyone have kids?

Lmfao

I browse at work, mulch yards when I’m getting loaded, at home during loading screens gaming, today outside dentist waiting for 3 kids etc, they don’t read this stuff, I have a lotta decent em conversations on here that outweigh the rest, and overall I like this site a lot, wouldn’t mind my kids being here when they’re 18, they can distinguish right/wrong and develop their own opinions without me hovering.

I wonder how many active members have kids that are also active members? I cant imagine browsing NS and being like "holy shit dad, why are you arguing about some stupid shit with a 12 year old online and telling people to pee in butts"

Yea this site is great, I joined when I was 13, cant imagine me letting my (future) 13 year old on here, there is much worse things on the internet tho. 18 sure they are "adults" and can do whatever. If this site is still somewhat active in 13ish years I will be shocked. Side note I've been a member of this website for more years than I haven't and that's weirding me out.

damn that was super wholesome mr dolan

It was nice to see that, gotta say tho, wasn’t a surprise I don’t see Dolan as terrible, or bad, don’t consider him a liar either just stubborn, misunderstood, quick to attack but if we were all the same shitwould get boring, and just bc say I’m a jerk, or capable of being an ass, doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be. A gr8 dad, and people who have led lives with such variance like Dolan, mused, many others, have had many experiences good and bad, have tools and experiences that assist with fatherhood, and just bc im rough on here, is no testament to the type of father I am, so dude could be a gr8 dad

Trying not to get too backwards it’s only 10 pm, been trading naps with the wife I think we’re going home tomorrow. Don’t have a kid until COVID is over it’s way harder.

Cancel all the balloons, visitors and champagne toasts in the recovery room it’s pretty much a quarantine at the hospital

Just had my first. Our experience was similar, but I truly enjoyed the time to ourselves. My husband was allowed to leave and come back which meant I crushed Jimmy John's for 2 days straight ha.

Covid quarantine: haven’t heard from the “when are you going to have kids, theyre the best thing to ever happen” crowd.

We had our second a few months ago. It was such an incredibly ruthless feeling having to be away from my daughter for a couple days while having baby #2 in the hospital. I’ve gotten so dependent on my daughter now. When we had the oldest, she was in daycare from 2 months old since wife doesnt have paid maternity leave and i was working a lot so i’d get home just in time to maybe say goodnight. But lost my job in late 2019 and it was the best thing to happen (after putting a year’s post-tax salary into bitcoin. Have been stay at home dad since and 1-2 is the most incredible age. I feel awful for those who miss it

Yeah we are basically in the same boat, my oldest is about to turn 3 and we haven’t really been apart for multiple nights before this, it was tough. I have been telecommuting for the last year straight, fortunately I didn’t lose my job but it’s been the best thing ever- I wake her up get her dressed, take her to pre school in the morning it’s been awesome to be able to be there as a dad instead of just always at work.

I have children and can share what it's like. At first, it's scary. You're afraid to do something wrong because you have no experience and face a lot of questions.

Tip: Consult your mother, mother-in-law, friends with kids, and doctors.

Then it gets hard. You have to get into a mode that is unfamiliar to you: (feeding the baby, your meals, combining household chores with this, and attention to your husband).

Tip: include your husband, mother, mother-in-law, and sisters (if you have any) to help.

The next stage is joy and happiness. You have managed to overcome the first difficulties, established a routine of everyday life, and got used to the baby both physically and mentally. For new parents, I recommend visiting this page.

Dad squad goin hard af. My oldest just turned 10 and there is nothing I enjoy more on this planet than watching her rip bumps and charge.

Dad of 2 here, just took them to the mountain for their first time. It was very exciting to share the experience with them and my parents.

I think there’s more dads then younger people on here now… sad

I doubt that... But I'm sure the majority of people who are replying to the "Anyone have kids?" thread are those who do, indeed, have kids.

Two kids, girl 8, boy 6, Kids rip around on skis now. Just recently had my first full day lapping park with the boy, just the two of us, fucking great day, so much fun. Both are learning 180's now.

Holy hell, some old names in this thread. Congrats on everyone’s kids. I nuked my account when I grew up a few years ago so I guess I’m also at the kid having stage in my life now.

Be well and beware of sporks OG NS’ers.
