at vail the other day, i ducked a rope on one of the back(ish) bowls because there was a run with untouched virgin pow pow.
well i was skiing it, then i stopped and looked over down to the right and saw a guy in a red jacket staring at me, stopped as well. well we kinda just stared at each other for a minute, then i took off and he started to follow. I cut hard left and he just kinda missed me, nothing happened, no biggie.
i dont hate them, because i never get in trouble with them. from stories i've heard, they are assholes, but at the same time, i've never had a bad experience and i know some ski patrol and have talked to some that are awesome people.
this is the same "fuck the police" mentality that everyone has. in the end, you need to realize that they are there to help you. and someone said that it should be at your own risk and that its your fault, well yes, it should, but it isnt.
i was skiing some pow today and came across some ski patrol. guess what they were doing?
they were cutting a fallen branch so no one would hit it and wreck. i think thats pretty helpful
