Any one rides Northstar?

ewww.. i live 6 miles away and i can smell pile of snowboarder sitting on there ass infront of the park discussing there Do Rags and steeze and blocking it form everyone.. from here. and im not even in tahoe! the stench broke my collarbone so i had to go home.
 
haha yeah there are alot of posers up there but there are alot of sick people like that one skier that wears tha jersy even tho jersys are lame hes hella good!
 
I went there once earlier this year while I was in tahoe, and good GOD are there too many people (95% snowboarders) in that park. Funny thing was, they were all hitting the rail line ont he right, so the line of the left was open, and to me, far more fun.
 
I'm up there every weekend. Sure theres alot of gapers but theres alot of ill people too, It's one of the best parks in tahoe so I'm not really compaining.
 
This discussion has been brought up like 5 times already this season. All you need to know is that Northstar has the best park in Tahoe but don't go there on the weekend when it's all nice and sunny because you'll be waiting a half hour to 45 minutes in liftline from about 10:30 to 3:00.
 
you'll wait forever if you go in the longest line.. we just ride the singles line all day and the longest we wait is 5 minutes
 
thats what we did last all last year , singles line kills it, even with a big group.. my friends smell bad to so it was a nice break not having to ride with them so much. bret and mack are the worst.
 
YOu rode Northstar last year? What where you rockin'? I was there almost everyday last year wearing all black and a headband and riding Moships.
 
Yeah those kids are mean. Last year I'd always dick around and do one footers and they'd laugh at me from the chair. Who cares though they are abunch of little kids who can only ski park.
 
Yea last year there was like 2 feet of fresh and they were still skiing park. You would think that if you only skied park you would be better at it. Is the freeride team at nstar one of the ones where you pay like 2 grand a year for it?
 
last year i har a white and red beanie, red and grey jacket, grey pants and tanner hall pros.. dude just come ride alpine with us.
 
alpine will be my home over spring break. I can't wait to get back out there.
 
Oh shit, haha im suppossed to be in mammoth during spring break.. well if i dont go il be around, and im sure i wont be there the whole time so yeah hit me up when you guys are around.
 
I'm gona try to get my friends out there to go down to mammoth for a day ro two.
 
but ya, I spent 2 days at alpine and fuck, i need to ski there more. it's just hard living in NH to get out there on a daily basis.
 
since PM isn't working, do you know petetr Kukesh, Jamie Farrell, James Cody, or Ty Mentos? They are my boys from NH that live there now and they all work alpine.
 
nah i havent met any of those guys, are they lifties or what? to tell the truth i dont know anyone who works there, or atleast i ve seen them but i dont know thats there name.
 
I know all those kids. I see them all the time at Alpine.

Back to the point of this thread.....why do people even bother trying to defend Northstar and say it has the best park in Tahoe, it makes you sound Like a jackass. Sure thier park can be sick at times, but it's not the best.
 
Okay then who does have the best park? Not Squaw that's for for damn sure. Sierra is almost as good as Northstar but that's because it's the same person who designed it. Alpine has some good jumps but the park is small and it's doesn't have a lot of variety. The only other place is Heavenly which I've never skied but I've heard good things about. Come on Northstar has the best park. There is tons of variety and everything is shaped perfectly. The park goes from top to bottom with like 1,2 vertical feet or something like that. You can easily hit 12-15 features in one run including the superpipe. No one else can top that.
 
what makes alpine extra sic is the snow stays good for days after a storm.....and you can access better terrain right off the chair than hiking two hours in co AND then hit the park on the way down.

For tahoes best park you simply need to have two passes......alpine for mountain and jumps, and boreal for pipes and jibs....anyone knows that. Hell, I just moved here.....have a pass to nstar, sierra, alpine, and boreal......and i sure as hell know it.
 
Yes Northstar does have a good park...for jibs. But there are too many people so it's basically impossible to maintain. The jumps are pretty much garbage most of the time. Boreal has come crazy shit out by dutchman that easily competes with Northstars jib set-up. I think Alpine owns all the other resorts right now in jumps although I'm sure Kirkwood and Heavenly will get things rolling as well.
 
word on the streets is sierra's superpark (bashful) is being built as we speak. You must admit that they have the illmatic combo of jibs and jumps when they run bashful.
 
bashful has some crazy cool shit on it. last year near the end they had some massive jumps to a big ole wall ride
 
yo why does evey one hate on the freeride team? i admit there are a couple of hella gay rich snobie kids on it but im on it and i got it through a scollership so i paid 200 bucks and fuck thoes jersys they make us wear i never rock them but what the fuck dont hate and if you are gunna hate come up to northstar and i will woop your ass at skiing ........and the star has the hands down sickest park in tahoe!
 
That's sick, holla at those kids and say you know me and shit. I'll be out there come spring break to, living with them for another week.
 
Well it certainly was crowded today.. I almost got wiped out by some guy and his little kid snowplowing down the superpipe as I was dropping in.. reminded me of back home in pennsylvania hah. I think after this month, northstar will get their park even more dialed in, and the crowds will start to thin as we head into late winter.
 
heavenly sucks it is they dont take care of there parks well except for the night park and 1,2 vertical feet sounds about right for northstars elevation.
 
Actually Northstar isnt the shit, it is barely fun and I can get free passes. The only thing people at northstar at good at is overestimating the size of their jumps.
 
ACULLY YOUR RIGHT YOU SHOULDENT COME TO NORTHSTAR DONT EVEN BOTHER ITS NOT WORTH IT ,ALL YOU WOULD BE MISSING OUT ON IS THE BEST THING TAHOE HAS GOING ON BUT THATS COOL GO HAVE FUN AT ALPINE
