And you thought parks in the US were packed before...

While I do agree that Olympic fever is short lived, I think the impact of having three Americans on a cereal box in a sport that had little public exposure before will generate a lot of enthusiasm. Why are they are on a cereal box? Because marketing works - for various parties involved. I know this has been debated a long time, the impact of the Olympics that is for freeskiing. I think the particular results will have just as much impact as the occurrence of the event. Discuss.

All I know is on at pc on Saturday about 50% of the skiers in the park had no poles. Goep dog revamping old trends

The no poles trend already happened with the wallnuts 4bi9 edit. Isn't even that much of a trend right now. At least not places I've been.

thank god i live in Australia...(some what) we don't have winter for another couple of months and hopefully by then the freeskiing hype will calm down and every one will ski normally again with poles/without poles whatever they prefer and aren't dictated by nick and his poleless skiing, also people buying 4 xl cause dollo does or whatever their favourite skiier does

At my small mountain 90% of us ski without poles, we have done this for years and I am finally wondering why.

Couple of kids at my mountain have been skiing without poles but i haven't noticed an increase since the olympics....although its only been a couple of days
