i don't understand what there isnt to believe....a MUCH smaller proportion of scientists do not believe that global warming is a man-made phenomenon as opposed to those who do believe that we are causing it...
its simple logic, really....all scientists, no matter what their stance on global warming, agree on the following things:
1) The Earth's temperature is rising
2) The Greenhouse effect is real (and is also consequently what keeps our planet inhabitable)
3) CO2 is a greenhouse gas
4) Mankind has increased the Earth's CO2 emissions by an absolutely ridiculous amount
if you understand the greenhouse effect, you would know that greenhouse gases work much like greenhouse windows in that they allow radiation from the sun to pass through them, but do not allow the heat to pass back through them into space.
therefore, if mankind has caused such a massive increase in CO2, and CO2 is a greenhouse gas, AND the earth's temperature is rising, somebody please explain to me how this means that global warming is an entirely natural occurence!
for the record, i have researched this issue. my senior project consisted of a 30 page research paper as well as a 40 minute long powerpoint presentation on global warming. i have read over 10 books on the subject, have considered all possibilities (some of which are very interesting), and have weighed all the facts.
if you don't believe in global warming or you dont think that human's are playing a significant role in it, you simply haven't researched anything.
i'll try to find my research paper and post it -
