American army vs. canadian army

Refer back to my saying that canada isnt iconic of the west, and therfore is targeted less. Refer back to my spearhead analogy. Also, Kim Jong wouldnt attack you first because a much jucier target (US soil) is alaska and thats closer than canada.

Its' true. Our "war on terror" IS adding fuel to the fire. It's causing more and more war. I'll say that to any soldier and I'd hope they would agree with me, if not they are a blind dumbass. When kids grow up with shooting in their neighborhood and bombs going off. It's very easy to point the finger at Americans because we are the ones in their backyard. You see, we jump into things way too fast. We never anticipate correctly and we probably won't for a long time. Every war we have under anticipated. Vietnam, Korea, etc. What you said about the Tonkin bay hasn't been proven. Nobody really knows for sure. You need to get a better clue about the start of the Vietnam war too. We were practically chanting kill the commies when it started.

The first Gulf War would have never happened if we didn't supply Iraq against Iran. After the war they had so many US provided and funded weapons that Kuwait was a gold mine with a sleeping guard with a muzzel loader protecting the boarder.

Canada is a marvelous country and has prospered very well. It has a very good average lifestyle and most people there are happy with the country. There is absolutely no need to bash it as a country.

Iraq had nothing to do with embassy bombings or the USS Cole, and neither did Afghanistan. Al Qaeda does not represent Afghanistan and we fought the wrong people after 9/11. The Taliban were completely disconnected from Al Qaeda.

I also never said it was ok for Iraq to invade Kuwait. I said it wouldn't have happened if we didn't intervene in the first place. There's no argument, it just wouldn't have happened at least within 20 years or so of that point.

Do you know WHY Iran took hostages? Because we forcefully installed a dictator far worse than Saddam ever was and put them through 25 years of tyranny and oppression. That's why they took hostages. The Shah that was installed by Eisenhower killed more people through unjustified capital punishment than any other Middle Eastern dictator. That was totally and 100% provoked by our wrong doing. The USS cole and embassy bombings were definitely not justified, but we knew very well Osama was a threat. He was under CIA survellience at that point. His organization (the MAK) was just starting to dissolve and again we funded that and the story of him returning to Saudi Arabia is exactly why 9/11 happened.

I don't understand why American has this mindset that they need to impede on a countries development or lack there of. America was supposed to liberate the oppressed Iraqi's yet the wake they leave is of destruction and fuel lines of destruction. For some reason people believe that our way of life is the way that everyone else wants to live, these countries in the middle east, believe it or not, have been fairly contempt with their own cultures for thousands of years. Now wouldn't you be absolutely pissed if some Muslim extremist regime came to America to release us from our materialistic views? They dont want to attack canada because we dont go starting wars and invading countries. The US has a more populated/heavily armed military, but Canadain soldiers have better training.

If you're talking equipment, the Israeli army IS the American army. If you're talking training they have a ridiculous hand to hand fighting mechanism and many other sick training activities.

Why doesn't patriotism make sense to you? It sounds like you hold a fair amount of national pride for Poland, since that's where you're from. If you were from Canada/US/wherever, you'd probably feel more patriotism toward Canada/US/wherever.

As for the "American Dream," it was an idea that began in the 1920s that through hard work, courage and determination you could achieve prosperity. Canadians undoubtedly hold those same ideals (at least judging from my Canadian friends), but since the Canada is smaller than the US in a global sense, the term "Canadian Dream" never became a motto of hard working mentality.

The israeli army would crumble under the might of the UNITED STATES MILITARY For 2 reasons. 1 Almost all of their weapons are used american ones. This includes Colt model m7333's, m727 (old ver), m933. These are very outdated armalites. Most do not have the money to buy Rail interface systems so you see lights and shit duct taped to their guns. There are several exceptions: the infamous Desert Eagle .50, the infamous UZI 9mm parabellum, and the new kabbore or w/e on the discovery channel. The Desert Eagle .50 is one of the worst pistols ever with a slow cycle rate and the round itself is too big for urban combat in the first place. The 9mm parabellum is too little to penetrate the ceramic plates found in plate carriers and the PACA low vis soft armor of US soldiers.

2nd, besides equipment, the tactics and training of Israeli soldiers is done by US Army CAG (now it is israel itself but they take tactics from units such as CAG). However, the real deal, better equiped with new Norotos NVG and such, (better armor) as well as ARPAT/ACU/ACUPAT camo plus amazing ballistic helmets such as the IBH or MICH make the US Army CAG or US Army ODA muuuuuchhh more effective. Not to mention we have the US Navy SEALs. The SEALs have a combined kill ratio of 300:1. Beat that. Now if Israelis left the urban environment, it wouldn't even be a competition. The larges caliber/range rifle they use the 7.62 SR25 (due to urban combat). We would jsut simply outrange them with scout snipers or SEAL snipers using SR25s and ghilles, or the m24 socom, or the m700. As for Air superiority i think we already know the answer. As for Naval superiority we know the answer to that as well. But just incase....

Israel currently uses the F-4 phantom jet. This is a jet we used in the korean and vietnam wars. we gave them our shitty old jets. We now have f-18A super hornets, the f-15E super eagles, and the stealth fighter the f117. Bombing wise, we have AC130/C130 (spectre gunships), b52 stratofortress, b2 stealth, b1. As for inserting troops anywhere we have the SOAR troops and the blackhawk and chinook helos. No way would any real countries' military beat the US's.

canadian soldiers are some of the best trained and best equipped in the world on an individual basis. much better than the americans.

where we are lacking is the billions upon billions of dollars spent on large weaponry ie ships, aircraft, personel carriers etc...

Cuz the billions of dollars spent on large weaponry and such is such a big difference its not even worth mentioning. but the individual equipment and training of us soldiers vastly, vastly outweighs the training of canadian soldiers. you guys just have to let that fact slide. that your average soldier is nothing compared to our average soldier and that your SF "joint task force 2" and your "427 SOAS" are nothing compared to our Navy SEALs, Army SFOD-D/ 1st SFG, and Marine Force Recon
 
I seriously do not care how well equipped some US soldier is, with the right tactic, an enemy can make all of his weaponry USELESS. Seriously, you act like these US soldiers are full blown superhero aliens from another planet who cannot be killed. I also dont care how badass a soldier is and how much weaponry he has, if he is fighting on foriegn soil, he is probably going to get his ass kicked simply for the fact that he doesnt know the territory as well. Technology cannot save you from everything.

Basically you are just bragging about how the USA WASTES shitloads of money so they can have the coolest gear to fight the Bad guys with. you might be one of the biggest retards on this whole site. Do you realize that the average American Infantry troop has a kill ratio of approx 23.3:1? That means for every normal Army Infantry that dies, 23 enemies die. This is for the Iraq war alone. In vietname i was around 19:1, 1st gulf war it was like 300:1. Anyway, thats just basic infantry. You have absolute no idea how good the SEALs and Army SFOD-D are because most of their actions are classified under OPSEC and PERSEC. But anyway just to cap a few declassified missions:

Operation Redwing took place in July 2005. This took place in afghanistan. 4 SEALs out of SDV-1, Danny Dietz, Marcus Lutrell, Matt Axelson and Michael Murphy took on a recon mission deep in afgahnistan. Two goathearders approached them, and the SEALs decided to spare them. The goathearders then sold out their posistion to taliban loyalists. The 4 men were soon surrounded by 250+ taliban fighters who were on much higher ground. Marcus Lutrell was the only survivor out of that mission, but all 250 or so initial taliban fighters were killed. Thats foreign soil, and still kicking ass. Each of the 3 soldiers that died suffered at least 2 bullet wounds, matt axelson suffered a bullet wound to a non ballistically sheilded head and still lived long enough to fight some more. That is true heroism underfire. 3 members of SOAR and 16 members of SEAL team 10 also lost their lives that day in a helicopter crash in an attempt to rescue the 4 SDVT1 members.

Seal casualty ratio is around 311:1.

Apart from those killed in afghanistan, only 1 other SEAL has died in iraq and that is Michael Monsoor out of SEAL team 3.

No confirmed Army SFOD-D deaths yet. No ODA deaths. No CAG deaths. In fact the only known SFOD-D deaths happened in the infamous blackhawk down raid.

Anyway, just to give you some perspective of just how kick ass our troops are. Foreign or domestic soil, were vastly superior to any other organized warfare group.

You aren't dumb per se, more so very very ignorant. True the reason we have a good military is due to spending. However, compared to what other countries spend vs their GDP ours is almost the lowest among modern countries. This is because of 2 reasons: 1 our GDP is the highest in the world and almost triples 2nd place (Japan). 2 A lot of our military is supplied by the private sector with companies such as Eagle Industries, Blackhawk industries, Allied Industries, Crye, and Propper just to name a few. Promoting free trade and offering military contracts cut down on costs, promote competition thereby producing the best product. So really our military spending is spent back into American companies and really, the economy gets boosted when that happens. The debt you are talking about is acutally due to liberal spenders. What you dont understand is liberals and democrats are the ones who don't believe in free trade, and like to expand the government by making rediculous programs such as NARPA CIA FBI. It is these rediculous bureaucracies that really generate a high amount of debt. We do not borrow money from China, i would know, im chinese. We invest in china retard. Plus, china is now almost completely economically dependant on our business now where as we can go to bangladesh, india, taiwan, or the phillipines if we need to outsource.

 
i'll go even further canada gets its tech and gear from all over the world so truly its based on training, leadership, and tactics.
