American army vs. canadian army

yes that the story that they gave the publick but really you guys said "we'll protect you from attack dont worryso then we cancelled the avro arrow. whice would still be a competitve ariplane today
 
first of all thats becaus eim the most well read on this topic. this topic aint about whether or not war is better or worse, its about whose military is better. secondly i obviously give everyones post consideration as i quote everyone and then prove them wrong. thirdly you cant be btoh defensive and aggressive.

frankly i dont really care what you think of either military. Im sorry for your loss dude but i take it that because were talking military here, most ppl who are staying on topic are more loyal to the military. this topic isnt about whether or not war is right. that arguement is whats really destroying this thread. that argument doesnt belong here. were here to talk guns.

I go into detail in order to provide solid evidnece. Its the 75th ranger REGIMENT not unit. They use ACU camo.

the avro arrow wouldnt even be close to a competitve airplane today. The avro arrow is similar to the f4 phantom which we no longer use. It was one of the first jet engined aircraft and lacks many modern features. I think you underestimate the technological advancements in americas war planes.

In both the f22 and f35 joint strike fighter,

weapons payloads are stored within the aircraft. when launched flaps open, struts emerge and the missiles launch. this is the reduce radar signature. both of these fighters are both stealth and non retardedly shaped. They can both go supersonic without the need of afterburners. they have fly by wire and very advanced HUD. The rear afterburner of the f35 can pivot allowing for the most rediculous manuverability.

the avro arrow didnt have fly by wire, hud, stealth, hi speed, hi altitude, extreme manuverability. Granted it was a nice plane for its time, it would be vastly outdated today.

Oh yea we didnt need your avro arrow anyway. Our planes were just as if not mroe advanced than you yet to be developed CF105.
 
Now don’t go putting the US on a silver platter by referring to Canada is the inferior “little brother”. As much as it hurts to hear, the US has its fair share of negative faults. The US has much higher gun violence and crime rates than Canada. However, the US has a stronger economy.

I see that as a problem that you cant see other countries as your equal If you cant do this, then you cant see anything clearly. Canada is by no means superior, nor inferior to the US. We are all human, and we are all the same. Every country has their problems, and every country has their strengths. it’s the arrogance of everyone that forces them to overlook these facts to feel that their country is superior. Are you human? I sure am. We are equals. Canada is not the “little brother” to the US. We aren’t your “inferior”. We aren’t your “helper”. We are your equal.

Lets face it. The US has a bigger, stronger army. That’s all well and good. The US government invests much more money into their military than the Canadain Government. Again, that’s all well and good. But in my opinion, the thing that the US military uses these strengths for arent just.

You can give one man a stone, and the other the most advanced gun, and either man can come out victorious. It really doesnt matter who has a better army. What matters is that militaries arent overbuilt, and are used only in extreme situations and under extreme circumstances. You can have a military consisting of 12 soldiers, and 4 pistols, and an army consisting of 1200 soldiers and 4000 rifles. IN the end, people die. Its not worth it.

well i mean it was better than most migs but i looked it up on wikipedia cuz i didnt know much about it but it said: "equally advanced US Navy Sparrow II" I know a lot about the sparrow and lemme tell you that was one sick plane too.

What do you want me to say? The US Army is better? There I said it. The US Army is better. Yet, there are militaries better than the US. THere is always someone better than you, no matter what it is.I think you're taking it too seriously. It sarted out as a discussion, now its just an argument. I just dont know why we cant see each military as euqal. They are allies, and have the same goal. why must we argue about it?

My point is that saying one military is better is like saying an apple is better than a pear. Each has their own faults and strengths. You may like the way you can cut an apple into various shapes, and I may like the taste of the pear’s skin. There isn’t a right or wrong answer. Both are “better”, and neither are “better”.

 
um actually seeing as how were both NATO allies, UN allies, and NORAD allies, were really compairing apples with apples here. Or a better analogy: bacon with bacon. All you have to do is match up each element, determine which is better, and then assess overall.

So far:

ground troops: america 1, canada 0

airplanes: america 1, canada 0

Theres still ICBMs, cannons, tanks, personell carriers, and seafarring vessels to talk about.

american army has more money=better weapons=a army with good guns

canada has less money=not as good weapons=being forced to strengthen the other points of are military

I agree with everything you said. I dont think its more of a question of "which army is better", more of "whose army is better"

I have been saying for quite a while that war solves nothing, but I am constantly bitched out. Really, we all know that the only solution is to kill everyone, then, there wont be any problems.

But yes, War is completely pointless, and just leads to more future conflict.

once again this is because canada is not the icon of the west or the free world. Its much easier to target the posterboy of freedom and infidelism than it is to target a bystanding following tundra of a country. Once again, its easier to target the spearhead than a splinter 3 feet down the shaft.
 
do you know what that prison was called? it was called abu grahb which i specifically mentioned above. those soldiers were sentenced to war crimes and now serve prison time.
 
The reason the US is the target is because they are constantly impeding upon other countries, especially developing countries affairs. THAT, is a fact.
