Nomensteven had a fine thread the other day on the meaning of the word

"better." How do you define a "better/finer" army? The "better" trained

army? The army that's "better" at winning a war? The army with the

"better" intelligence? "Better" technology? "Better" weapons? What I'm

curious about is what army you'd rather command in a war. A sincere question.
 
well, to be honest, isreal. not because i think theyd win, but because their precision, and the way that they operate is much cleaner than the united states does. and yes, if the us were to fight isreal (w/o nuclear arms of course) i think the us would probably end up the last country standing, but who knows. isreal also has the faith of god in their troops to the point of fanaticism. its the greatest honor an isreali can achieve, to be a soldier.
 
you don't have to do anything to deserve freedom, especially enlist to go kill people. Taking the life of someone, no matter who it is, is a terrible thing, perhaps the worst thing in the world. If you are all proud of joining the military, whose sole purpose is committing the ultimate sin of killing then maybe you are just as bad as the people the US is fighting. the USA seems to think it is their duty to spread freedom, which it may be seeing as we are the most powerful, free country, but we are goin about it in all the wrongs ways. Fighting will never, ever, ever, ever bring freedom, history has repeated itself thousands of times to prove that point. LOVE IS THE SOLUTION to all the worlds probelms
 
yep buddy go give your love to the terrorists and see how they take it, because the free countries do alot to deserve getting their civilians killed. and dont try to tell me that joining the military is wrong because its not, war if a fact of the world ,it happens people die including the YOUNG men who are over in iraq right now doing nothing but trying to help protect their families and the people of america, and if you try to deny that you are just a dick. so before complaining to YOUR countries soldiers think about why they are there and what it is like to live in a place where there is death around them everyday. maybe complain to the people who have made it their life goal to kill any americans they see.

c. i know your too young to realize it but the USA has been around for more than the last 30 years and to base any assumption about our military capabilities on such a short period of time is a very ignorant thing to do. We can do much much more than just step on one side of a revolution.(see section E)

d. Israel does NOT have the most technologically advanced; and best trained airforce in the world, the US does hands down.

All I'm trying to say is going off to fight in a war won't change the way we feel about terrorists, or the way they feel about us. For example, I don't see people giving credit to Malcom X and his militant ways, because the rights of Blacks were gained by Martin Luther King through nonviolence. All the fighting just spurs more fighting and will continue to until We in America, and the terrorits all over the world find a better way to settle their problems.

He was right though. Israel's technology only goes as far as the US will let it. The US definately has the most advanced military...by far.

Oh and Israel may have basic army trained better (let's look at how many people we have compared to them), but there is NO way they have near the special force ops we have.
 
it is possible that i was incorrect, im not entirely ontop of the military technologies in the world.

^There are a lot of places like America, and a lot of places you can go to for a week and not notice your in a foriegn country, but we are still pretty much in a class by ourselves here.
