saw this coming like 6 years ago when i got into the comics soo fucking good. wish i had cable so bad, but you can purchase episodes a day after they release on itunes and amazon i beleive. also, its not ripping off 28 days later, the comics came out before 28 days later and contained the exact same opening so you could say 28 days ripped off the comics if you wanna be a real dick about it. but its a sweet opening for any zombie situation.

I just watched this week's episode on demand and now I just want to fast forward to next Sunday so I can see what happens haha. I'm curious to see what happens with Rick and his family when they are reunited and how it affects his old partner. Although I feel like they're reuniting them too early in the series and I don't really see where they're going to go with the rest of it since it seemed like Rick's main goal was to find his family (I never read the comic).

Weren't they gonna go back and rescue the redneck, racist white guy? Id agree with them leaving him there. He was a fucking asshole.

Haha yeah, fuck that guy. I can't believe the black guy was going to free him. I would have waved the key in his face and then thrown it off the roof, leaving him with the hacksaw Saw style.

Yeah. I had a feeling the key would be disposed of somehow. Serves that guy the right for being a racist prick. Now hes zombie food.

They made him knocking the tool box over so centered though, it almost makes you think angry hick is gonna make an angry reappearance later on since if he gets the saw all the zombie peaced after glenn and shit. As for after the reunite I'm pretty sure then the story focuses in on them trying to find a safe place/cure/live

Sorry to tell you, but no. The first TWD comic came out in October 2003, while the script for 28 Days Later was written in 1999-2000 and it was even filmed mostly in 2001. Like I said in an earlier post, the opening is a TRIBUTE to 28 Days, as said by the author in some interview floating around.

I don't really like the series if compared to the comic, but I guess it is pretty hard to transport the gruesomeness of the comic to the screen without a drop in so-called "entertainment value". Therefore, I'll just try to see this as a new story instead of comparing it to the orig. material, it will make it much easier to watch...

i bet he will come back in a much later episode, and rick and the others will probably have to kill him or feed him to zombies or something

but his character is definitely gonna be a big aspect in the show later on i bet

OR

they will be fighting zombies and la dee da and then they will see him as a zombie walkin around with one hand or something. thatd be crazy

me too!! Wait....did you mean people raping zombies, or zombies raping people? meh, either way, I'm in.
P.S.
Definite boner from the sex in the woods scene.

i somehow think he is gonna get out of this sticky situation and come back in a later episode

wheres all the blood from him cutting his hand off? lol

And damn they are really good about getting just the right amount of teaser out for the next episode so that you get hyped without knowing whats going to happen.

that's what I'm thinking but I'm not totally buying that he cut his arm off. Like did he cut his hand off, after spending all that time dehydrating on the roof, tie off the wound, then gather up those tools and make a one handed escape? If he did then props, but we just gotta wait and see.

Id say he made it down a few stairs before the "geeks" as they call them, starting eating the shit out of him... he probably wouldn't even make it past cutting his arm off due to blood loss and dehydration, but its a TV show so whatever, i still love it
