We've been building some new jibs for the upcoming season. Here is a taste. Really stoked on round rails.

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, the park will be in the same places and more next year. We plan to have the Terry's/upper Meadow section open earlier this year and to connect it to the ridge park via red green/ultraviolet as well. We're trying to have more lines to choose from. For those who didn't get to ride Alpine last year, here is a shot of Parker White from the Red jump.

there were some jibbers and some xcountry skiers in mt rose meadow when I drove thru about an hour ago... a lot more snow up there than I expected

Way stoked to see some round rails on the hill again!

Sounds like more people are coming out this year.

Here are a couple more.

A few things Mr. David.

1. Damn you for doing this now that I won't be spending most/all of my winter in Tahoe.

2. Fucking awesome, if you can connect connect Terry's all the way to the bottom... god damn Alpine is going to take over.

3. Learn to build real jumps, the ones you had last year were god awful...

Now's the time for requests, if you have any. Let me know and we may be able to make it happen.

Yes I am...

If that wallride doesn't have clear plastic on it you're wasting your time.

Damnit. Black and white photos confused me and made me think it snowed and crap.

Sick though. I'm stoked to make a few days at alpine when i roll down to tahoe this season.

Absolutely awesome!

Suggestion - make the landing of one of the jumps groomed two ways: instead of just straight, make an option to carve off the side to the hip landing.

Suggestion - can we please have a 20-30 foot flat rail nice and low to the ground for learning new tricks on without consequence? all of the flat bars last year were nuttable or too short to learn on.

I agree about the flat bar/flat box... they were either on the ground or waaay off the ground... one of each at the knee to thigh height would be awesome!

#1 - ?No Comprende? You want a hip?

#2 We'll make it happen. Most of our rails and boxes are only 2' tall, so I never thought they were very tall, but snowboarders don't have to worry about nutting themselves.

#3 We'll see about a S-box. That's a real time consuming feature to build but maybe. I've got a few things on the list that will happen first.

Thanks for the suggestions, keep em coming.

jonahs, my idea was as follows:

It's probably pretty unsafe though and might not be as cool as I thought it might be

They've got a pretty good mix Eric, its not all one or the other. I have nothing against Boreal or Alpine, I'm just saying I prefer round rails over square. You don't typically find square rails in the streets...

Please, please, please build some features for the little kids and the big kids who are just learning. The stuff that was in the Tiegel park the past few years was great. Low, non-threatening boxes, simple rails that don't require a big jump to mount, small jumps, etc. Big features are fun to watch people hit, but small ones make the park accessible and inviting for guests who want to progress. Plus they make for great teaching tools when teaching kid lessons. I'd love to see a small ride-on rainbow box, a small curved box so kids can get the hang of the hook, that sort of thing.

Oh, and build us a freakin' halfpipe so we can have a snowboard team that doesn't have to go elsewhere to practice. After seeing the pictures of the building of tubeville, it is increasingly difficult to believe the story that Alpine isn't allowed to dig in the ground because of some Forest Service rule.

The tubing thing is probably cool. The fat kids will have something to do after they give up on snowboarding when they find out snowboarding requires you to continually lift your ass off the snow.

I think the hip/table in the upper meadow last year qualified as this. We always try to give as many options as possible.

Channel gap = Maybe. We've tried this before but the channel was pretty weak. It's hard to get away with anything considered a GAP.

#1 Tiegal Park will still be there. Not sure how they are going to get there except hotwheels/roundhouse, but that not my department. Small C or Rainbow? Did you look at the pictures?

#2 We don't own a pipe cutter. So complain to someone with the pocketbook.

#3 Tubeville is SICK. ;}

I think you need to lay off the acid + meth combo, you were clearly way to high when you came up with this thing...

^ Actually, stole the idea from the Epic Indoor Park in Sac. It's really fun to skate, so we figured we'd give it a try. We'll set it up in all sorts of angles, to keep it interesting.

If you think that's gnarly Melvis, check this out. I figure, let's get creative. This started out as a Circus pedastal (sp?) jib, but then we added a top to give it multiple angles.
