ah fuck this weekend looks like pow again. not complainin just not good to film. ill have my cam with me so if it clears up or the jumps are hittable we can film. but not looking hopeful

i like the way it is but it has been like that the whole year, it would be nice to change up some of the jumps. maby make a table or stepup or anything new.

As I agree things should change up to make some variety, we really haven't had many park days this year. I have not been in the park at all this month. However, if you are fortunate enough to ride there more than twice a week, then I can see your point.

probably too late in the year to revamp the whole park, but they did flip the jibs up a bit.

i agree a true table/step up/channel gap would make things a bit more interesting. Ive been spending most of my park time at boreal and northstar lately.

No, it hasn't been that way all year. The jumps were all true steps most of the year, now they are modified table style. I made #5 on roo table style last week with the lip as high as the knuckle and I got nothing but complaints about not flyng high enough. So we stacked the lips up again.

As for a step-up, nah. We don't have a good flat area for one except for where the 70'er is and there is no way were turning that thing into a step-up. The reason we make the jumps the way we do is so you fly high and it's film worthy.

Skimming the deck on a step-up or table is not film worthy. Plus there is a step-up in the park but you have to be brave and creative. Look around you might see it.

As soon as the 60'er is done on Nick's we are planning to start something new but I'm not saying what. You'll have to come see it for yourself.

Sorry there are currently no pictures of Kangaroo Ridge or Kangaroo Gully. I simply ran out of light and time for taking pictures that would do that part of the park justice. There's lots over there too;

however, it's been snowing all day today, and we're supposed to receive another foot tonight, a couple of inches Saturday, another 6"-12" Sunday, 10"-18" for Monday taporing to a couple of inches for Tuesday... yeah. There's snow in the forecast for as far out as the weather people can forecast. Also, expect big southwest winds.

Temps have been in the mid 20s early morning with overnight lows in low 20s. Today's high of 36 degrees happened at 1pm, so maybe blue/purple mix for wax on powder skis for the weekend. Because of the wind, there's no telling what will or won't be open. Stay tuned...

Yeah the roo jump has definately been reshaped. It has the table style now for sure. I reminds me of mammoths showtime booter, but on steriods. Approaching the lip is like going up a moutain....so awsome. I give jonahs nothing but praise for that work of art. I can't wait to see what surprises come about next if it every stops snowing.

a channel on roo would be so fresh.

i doesn't need to be huge just put like two 40' tables bout 15' apart.

please!

I like the jump set up. I just think that they should change around/ add more jibs. It would be cool to if you could hit the jumps and the rails like a slope style run instead of having to choose to hit a jump or a rail. All in all sick park.

Oh, but you can hit the rails and jumps in the same line. If you hit the rails without stopping at each one, the roo is steep enough to hit the next jump in the line. For example, hit the first jump then get the f/d/f and the sterilizer then hit #4 & #5. You'll have no problem with speed.

Also, we'd love to put out more rails but unfortunetly we don't have anymore. I'll take rail donations at the shack. JK.

On another note we have started pushing one of two super hips planned. They will be done hopefully after this next dump. The first one looks like you'll be higher than the people on the chair. We also put in the cliff drop between roo and Nicks. I think you might be able to get the cliff into the 70'er in the same line, depending on speed conditions. We don't have anymore steel but we have plenty of snow, so look for new snow features to spice up the park riding.

you heard it from the man, AVOID STOPPING AT EVERY FUCKING FEATURE OR DEAL WITH ME SNAKING YOU ALLL DAYYY LONG. And i dont feel bad about snaking one bit.

YES YES YES THE CLIFF DROP IS BACK. TIGHT! JEA IT GETS BETTER AND BETTER YOU CANT STOP ALPINE. and im going to mt bachelor over spring break next week. SHIT!

The jump is long enough, if you really want to "find the real playas" it needs a lip thats like 65 degrees. But seriously the jumpcould be so dank if it had a little more up to it.

The jump was really only ridable one day and I only saw four people hitting it. Unless your the guy with the hat with the ear flaps that kills it everyday at alpine, you need to come out and hit it before you ask for more "up". Mikka Hasp was like 20' in the air that day and only one skier was coming close. We will make it bigger, but I wan't to see some people killing it first.

Um. ya jonhas or wht, my boy andrew(dude with the hat and ear flaps) and i are some of the few people regularly hitting nicks all year long. and jea, I cant ski due to a lacerated spleen at the moment, but andrew and I both agree that the hits on nicks should be 70 into 90. I realize they are big, and nice, but I would be down for even bigger

and I would also say they have plenty of pop, they just need to be bigger. if powder boys wants a poping death lip he can go to N*.

Your boy Andrew has been slaying Nick's all year and is one of few. We want to see Nick's go as big as the run will support, but we want to see more kids step up to the 77'-80'er before we go any bigger. I'm stoked you guys are killing it but we can't go bigger without others doing the same. We will go bigger but we're still putting out the biggest jumps in tahoe so spread the word and so we can supply the demand. Also it's Jonahs

hey mange, Ya I started hitting it with andrew, I have pants that say SMITH in pink, and we're always like whats the deal, these jumps are freakin perfect, and other than a few guys that ski and a few boarders no ones on it.....I am stoked that the bottoms bigger, I want to get some more zero spins on nick before the season is out

KC if it ever becomes a park day on a weekend we'll sesh nicks all day long, dont w0rry about it.

ummm.... DL ya, I said there was only a few people but im definetly not sayin im the best, because I defintetly get powned by you an many other peoples ability. And you needs to hurry up and get kim or someone to support you so Dcrew an ungnar crews can go schralp on nicks all day long

whats up with the nicks jumps? much smaller all of a sudden, the first one is now perfect for switch tricks... I'm not complaining, just curious

dude it's 77' feet. that isn't small. It's still pretty damn big man, although I would say it was a little bigger and more poppy back in february before it started snowing non stop. Have you even hit it yet since it's been rebuilt?

Ya, the first jump was rebuilt at about 60' then you add rain & alot of snow and stuff shrinks. Were trying to keep up with it all but it seems it's a nightly battle just to get everything packed and dug out. Maybe it'll get stop snowing someday and we'll start rebuilding (Again). The hip got worked on last night and is almost done. It will be sick when it's complete.

dude jonahs, me and my spleen checked out the park nicks looks sick. I was wondering why the wallride is so small. it isnt nearly as high as when you first put it in? Is it cuz it wont stop snowin....and im not complain! jea more snow

since we are on the subject I have an alpine request.....

Please make that top box a true flat up flat with a nice gap like it has and a mellow lip.....so switchupable.

while we are making suggestions... I would say that the deck below the cliff drop should be shortened so we can butter off it, right now you need a lot of speed, and its kinda sketchy to spin off... just a thought

I know what you mean about the speed, but at the same time it's really fun to launch it and do small spins like a regular 1 or cab 180's.

actually if we are really throwing shit out here ill throw a couple more suggestions out...

the urban down is getting boring, how about a big dope flat rail on a table for big spins off?

four flat boxes in the smaller park? how about leaving two of those over there and taking two into the roo and making something out of them, like a up gap down or flat down?

Alright... picture this... Flat box off of the cliff drop, to a down box on the landing. That'd be freakin nutty candide style, and its totally possible, i mean if we get someone to guinnee. Maybe the spaniard? i dont know... Im just throwin it out there.

^^I really like the box to box gap and the rail on a table idea like last year, use the landing transition on the side of a jump as the landing for a big flat rail, that'd be dope fo realz.
