grand bizarre, best film if3 (have whatever opinion you want), comes out tomorrow on itunes!!! so amped!

not sure if ill get itunes or dvd tho because i heard it comes with some really sick dvd extras
 
Grand Bizarre came with a t-shirt, poster, Salomon die cut and both the Grand Bizarre and The Ordinary Skier dvd's. Well worth it in my opinion.
 
Got it in the mail today. Skiing was pretty good, but as a movie I was really disappointed. It just didn't get me stoked to go skiing. Editing was really not up to Level 1's standards. Grand Bizarre is far superior in every aspect imo.

i felt like level 1 could have made this movie 10 years ago for 1/5 of the budget...

and i hate to be that guy, but get ahmet some poles while shooting urban

 
in a lot of cases he does use poles, but when you're dealing with holding a winch or a bungee handle, it's much more logical and safer not to use them. i'm just too hard headed to drop mine.
 
Just as good as any Level 1 movie so many bangers and all the songs fit even tho almost everyone was a throwback!

Im just gonna say it, i hated it. im a big level 1 fan, and i was pumped for this movie. i just watched it, and i was heavily disappointed. first of all, opening and closing segments both were not very good. in the entire movie, there were like 2 rap songs, which i would say is level 1's specialty. The best segments were easily Logan/Bellemare and Compton/Wesson/Imlach i thought. The whole movie felt rushed to me, and they werent choosing songs that fit with peoples styles. Delormes segment was wayyyyyy too rushed, and a lot of the others were similar to this.
also, what was up with that intro? worst thing ive ever heard.
 
just making sure. got 25$ prepaid cash card from my uncle for my b day yeater, gonna get it. i mean a dvd+shirt+poster+diecut? thats like a $50 value right there.
 
Wow so I thought PBP soundtrack blew, but then I watched After Dark and it was about 2x worse, fucking horrible. Did like all the major companies get together this yr and try to pick the worse songs ever to go with skiing?

Maybe my expectations are a little high cause I just watched the Art of Flight but even the skiing this yr was under par. Fucking at least pbp had good skiing, level 1 losing bdog henrik, and a good amount wallisch due to injury fucked their shit up.

Just my 2 cents, hate away.
 
So I am a huge level 1 fan, I have purchased their past 4 movies and I was looking for any excuse to justify the money spent on this movie but I couldn't find one. I am happy that the shirt is sick though, and that itself is like 26 dollars MSRP so I guess it was worth it if you get the shirt.
 
im not going to lie. i did not like the sound track at all for the movie. the cinematography was great and so was the editing. it was a little different then the average level 1 film it seems, but it was good. i had mixed reactions, but i think it was good in the long run. I think the russia segment was lacking a little bit, japan was sick. ahmet, blew my mind again. defiantly worth a buy!
 
the soundtrack was hit and miss by segment. the sun valley and wiley miller songs were sick but the "friends" song was the worst i've heard in a ski movie to date.

i'm still really impressed by the movie, though. wiley, rainville, and parker white killed it so hard. sean logan's seggy wasn't too shabby either
 
there are still tons of bangers. its not bad at all. i think its just personal opinion. i thought it was good. but i liked eye trip alot better.
 
Honestly Eye Trip destroyed After Dark, it really did not reach my standards I had for the movie. I was at the premier in Denver and it was just not all that. Everyone was pretty disappointed when it ended

One of my new favorite movies. Just a solid movie all around. Good flow. Good theme. Good vibes. Good music too. Anyone complaining needs to diversify their tastes a little.
 
this. it was definitely a bit of a change up from the norm with the soundtrack and whatnot. but some really damn creative and top notch riding in there. i really liked how strong the theme was, reminded me of an old school flick. several standouts imo. logan, pwhite, imlach, wiley all had great parts along with some others im sure im forgetting in the present sunday morning fog. much better than grand bizarre. favorite of the year, but i still havent seen weight yet
