After Dark

the logan/bellemare seggy was dope. Compton, Wesson and Imlachs just had a great vibe to it and made me wanna ski. aand da fuck was that song in wallys segment?

I loved it. My only gripe would be the song choice in wallisch's segment. Other than that I thought the soundtrack was great. I guess I would have like a longer segment from delorme too. My favorite movie of the year though

I have some questions.

Any shots at all of Vanular?

Any shots at all of B ? E?

What kinds of songs were there? Electronica? Rock? hiphop?

Who had opening seg?

Who had the most banger seg? How was wall-e?

bingo. the compton/wesson/imlach seggy had such a good vibe. it kinda had the same feeling as TSP's Come Find Us just because it got me pumped to ski.

the two rainville POV shots (and his cork 3) were incredible. but my god... that song in wallisch's segment is unbearable

my only other critique would be the dub corks. level 1's the best because they throw in creative riding that is timeless, but dub corks are just a stock competition trick that gets old after seeing 'em for the first few times. anyway... still stoked on the movie

a few things im super stoked about. 1. they use go pros now. IMO the contours looked terrible and really kinda looked unprofessional. 2. Decker i think did majority of the editing this year, which i thought was really made the movie. 3. the intro was super sick. schui did a great job with the time lapses of the ice.

1) Vanular didn't have any shots unfortunately

2) Phill had a short seg full of tranny and creatives, edollo's only shot was the mind boggling flat one from the trailer

3) A little bit of everything for the music. More of a mellow flow to the music than some of the heavy hits they usually use. Delorme has a track I instantly wanted to down load.

4) Parker white throws down in the opener with one of the most well rounded seggy's I've see to date.

5) Surprisingly none of the segments stood out as obvious bangers. When re watching it i never wanted to skip to or skip over any of the segments. Editing was on point. P White, bellemare and logan stood out as notables. It was also sick to see a fun segment from compton and a feature length from wesson.

6) Wallisch's shots were smooth as always but missing his usual jaw dropping prowess. There were several multi kink rails in russia where he only did a switch up to nothing out and it left you feeling like he wanted to dub swap for spin out. He has some decent shots as the opener of the "friends" segment. Always smooth and enjoyable to watch but it was weird to see him without a banger full seggy.

Overall the replay value of After Dark is my favorite to date. Stand out editting and it gets a little better each time I watch it

Just saw it. Good movie, just not EPIC like Refresh, or the older Level 1 flicks were. Good variety of music and skiing. PWhites segment was real good, kids blowing up. Logan Imlachs few shots were awesome, but left me wanting more. Same problem with Delormes seggy. AMAZING, but too short. But then again I'd be content with an entire movie thats just Delorme set to an entire reggae album. Show him straight airing, show him riding groomers, hell show him brushing his teeth and it will probably be with better style and more fun to watch than anyone else on earth.

Also, I've decided Tom Wallisch is so good hes boring. Its reached the point where theres not much he can do that will blow my mind anymore. Its like, yeah that was sick, but everything he does is.

Only complaint was the Sun Valley segment. Wayyyyyy too long and kind of repetitive.

God that movie impressed me so much, a refreshing movie to the ski scene. Great editing, GREAT cinematography.

Everyone on here complains to much. NS is not right at the moment. GREAT MOVIE level 1. Good job this year. All the haters just push level 1 that much more.

And b-dog's segment was ill...
