Addicted to Weed

Marijuana is not a drug. I used to suck dick for coke. Now that's an addiction. You ever suck some dick for marijuana?

you're missing the point... we were talking about being physically addicted to a substance and ethanol was one of those substances. You and ali were wrong and thats all there is to it. I don't understand why you're making this into a big deal

your admitting his dong is 20inches and now hes gonna go to the hospital and cock slap Thorton back unconscious

Hes trying to say what you are saying. You wouldnt send me to rehab for being "addicted" to porn. And you're saying its the same idea, its just the way it makes you feel, and thats not a true "chemical" addiction likes hes saying.

im pretty sure it is,, haha it just took me like 30 mins to read this whole post, but try to space it out if you feel like you need to, maybe instead of 1 bowl a day do 1 every other day, or save it for a day where your stressed, use it when you want

and guys with the argument about some stupid shit, you guys do realize your not giving him any more help.

last year i used to S.W.E.D and then i got caught a bunch of times by my parents and they sent me to a different school and shit and i went from having a super sick time getting high with my friends every day to having my parents watching me over everything i do and also being the new kid at a school. My parents did catch me though after i tried to quit because i thought they were on to me but they just looked through my phone. but i had stopped like a couple of weeks before that and id say the best way to stop is to just throw out or sell all your parafenalia because if you have the necessary tools to get high, whats stopping you from doing it if you do it every day anyways? i sdtopped for a couple months but now i just get high on weekends while im chillin with friends. pretty happy now that i look back on some of the stupid shit i did

didn't read the rest of the thread but cannabis DOES NOT cause cancer. there's been studies that shows it actually fights brain tumors.

that said, smoke isn't good for you so buy a vaporizer.

thats why i think the best resource is yourself... Before you jump to any conclusions about anything you read about, you should experience it for yourself.

very highly debatable. There have been very few studies done that say that weed doesnt cause lung cancer.

just cause sometthing helps treat cancer doesnt mean that it cant cause it. chemotherapy helps fight cancer...and radiation causes cancer...

there's been a lot of studies on it, just not in uhmericuh.

and i had chemo so sure, i know that already.

all of the studies in the past 5 years seem to say that it probly does cause cancer.

I realize that this argument is super high on your priority list right now lol, but i would be interested to read about the studies you are referencing.

Then where are all the examples of individuals who have gotten lung cancer from smoking pot? Just because it supposedly may cause cancer doesn't mean it ever has. There aren't any documented cases that I know of. Even the American Lung Association agrees that marijuana does not cause lung cancer. A study by Dr. Donald Tashkin at UCLA found the same thing. Where is your evidence? Show a source if you are going to make a claim like that.

You have to be very careful with anti-cannabis studies nomatter what they conclude because of the people who sponsor those studies. I've never seen a study saying it causes cancer that had a definitive answer, it's always, "may cause cancer" with a manipulation of information to make the results sound worse than they really are.

My conclusion from personal research is that carcinogens from smoke are bad so buy a vaporizer and eliminate that problem or get a quality bong and filter out all the shit.

Anyways, I'm too lazy and don't care enough right now to do any in depth research so this is what I found off literally 30 seconds of research:

first off, link to atleast an article on the study...cause im lazy.

heres a recent article and the link:

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/06/090615095940.htm

MJ is illegal and the majority of long term heavy MJ smokers also smoked cigarettes so the cigs get blamed. Because we cant do a long term study on an illegal habit, we have to rely on small scale, short term studies, or a scientific analysis on the chemical makeup of MJ.

Saying that MJ doesnt cause cancer is just as stupid as saying that it does. We just flat out dont know, we have evidence both ways.

i supplied you with links to both articles of studies and actual studies. take some time to read it you lazy pothead.

it's illegal and can't have long term studies done in the US but france has done A LOT of longer term studies on it and the majority of it is that cannabinoids help prevent or reduce the risk of cancer forming cells and in some cases even helps fight cancer. don't argue about what you're too lazy to read.

so there were a bunch of studies that showed a link to cancer, that just wasnt the majority outcome? And did these studies specifically study lung cancer?

So again, we cannot say definitively either way whether it cause cancer or not.

i hate to be nit-picky, but it still says "may" and "could." still nothing scientifically definitive or convincing. obviously heavy sustained smoking can be damaging to cilia in the lungs, but smoking anything does that. without statistical examples its hard to make the argument honestly. and for the record i used to believe marijuana caused lung cancer too.

if you smoke alot, when you stop cold turkey you get crazy dreams all night and night sweats. super realistic dreams, like i would wake up and text my friends from my dream that i couldnt continue on our adventure cause i had shit to do. and then remember that it was all a dream, i used to read word up magazine

oh i absolutely agree with you, its all very weak evidence. What we do know is that burning organic matter creates carcinogenic matter that, in this case, is then inhaled into the lungs.

there are studies on both sides of the aisle that resulted in MJ causing cancer and not causeing it.

I just dont understand how people can be so confident in one side.

i just feel that with how many people smoke, some sort of definitive proof of cause would have surfaced by now. so until i'm shown a case of a marijuana only smoker getting lung cancer, i will give it the benefit of the doubt.

take a minute to think about who loses money when people smoke the debbils lettuce

big pharm and tomacco, that's who.

Tobacco losing money? thats like saying coffee sales cut into alcohol sales. two different highs.

MMJ is actually a pretty small niche, the vast majority of those with a medical card use it recreationally, and wouldnt be buying Rx drugs anyways.

but i would be down to hear your take on why they would lose money.

if anything those two industries would stand to gain the most if legalized. big pharm would patent certain strains and develop new ones, and tobacco already has the infrastructure in place to grow on a large scale and produce doobies on a large scale.

rather than posting countless links supporting the obvious

I will just say, you are really dumb.

p.s.

You can consider this an internet win for yourself if you like.

do you even know the story behind why weed is illegal in the first place?

this is the second and last time i'll tell you. don't argue about things you don't know about. fucking do some reading you lazy pothead.

do you know who the guy was that got weed banned? do you know how long he's been dead?

Reasons for illegality 90 years ago, are not the same reasons for the current illegality.

oh yeah? then why is it still illegal all-knowing one?

oh, and yes i do know his name, william randolph hearst. he was a major player, but he didn't do it by himself.

slowly cut back, if you have been doing it for multiple years then your body is just used to it, whatever amount your doing slowly do less and less till your done or do what your comfortable with

You're not chemically addicted, You are dependent. The release of certain chemicals by your brain due to your use doesn't take place as easily naturally anymore, and you probably need some THC in your system just to feel normal, hence the depressed feeling. Try going tolike 5 days a week for a few weeks, then every other day, then maybe just on weekends and eventually you should be able to stop without problems. Dependence sucks, but it's nowhere near what an addiction is like.

im too lazy to read the other posts so maybe the weed u get has crack in it. like a bit of it so thats why its so addictive. i just heard that so not a 100% sure if its a rumour or not.

You can't quit smoking unless you really don't feel the urge to anymore. If you just say that you want to quit to get healthy, it will not work.. I have tried it, many many times. I just recently stopped because of some stomach problems and I have realized that I really dont need it and i lost that urge.
