A thread of Problem Solving

Hopefully this thread idea works out. The idea for this thread is that anyone can make the problem and anyone can solve the problem. There may be Multiple ways of solving the problem. All problems must have a possible solution If anyone says they give up on the problem you can explain how you would solve the problem you have presented if you wish. I would recommend giving people at least a day to solve any problem.

(Example of the type of problem I'm looking for)

Problem: How do I ignite a match without holding the match or striking pad.

Possible Answers: Use a Burning laser to ignite the match, or butane lighter.

So I'll start off with another problem I won't give the answer till tomorrow if no one else has figured it out by then. I'm sure someone will solve it no problem though.

Problem: How would one erect a pole without touching the pole directly?

(The reason I am doing this? lately I have been enjoying doing little problem solving questions lately. Keeps my brain active and thinking.)
 
Cool thread idea. Could turn out to be really fun

You could erect a pole without directly touching it by pouring a very quick setting solution, and the resulting object would be a pole of sorts. As it would pile up, it would harden, leaving a fairly skinny mound... Of course, when pouring you wouldn't be technically touching a pole, you'd be touching a container of the substance. I highly doubt that was what you were looking for in a solution hahaha, just an idea
 
You could obtain and use strong magnets (depending on the elemental makeup of the pole) to attach telescoping sections of the pole (comparable to tent poles). This is perhaps not the most functional solution, but given the right materials, it could be feasible.
 
Let the pole lay on the ground

Earth rotates and pole will either be upright or upside down

Next
 
Hire someone else to do it.

Use a fucking tractor.

Slave labor.

Etc.

Problem: How can you be more specific?

Solution: Give some fucking details.

A lot of people had some solid answers and also due to wording the Watch porn was also something I was expecting to get as an answer. hahaha

The Answer I had in mind goes a little like this:

dig a hole around one end. Before you reach close to half way point set a log underneath the pole to keep it floating there so you can place a concrete tube for the pole to slide into. after you have done that release the log keeping the pole horizontal. the rest should theoretically fall into place and just fill the hole in.

Other acceptable answers I thought about was using various magnets and watching porn. lol

I'll try and think of another problem and should post it a little later.
 
Found a new problem to solve :)

Problem:

If you put a coin in an empty bottle and insert a cork into the neck of the bottle, how could you remove the coin without taking the cork out or breaking the bottle?

Very interesting solution, not what I was thinking lol.

Someone else seems to have beat me to the answer to the second, but I would say take a blow torch of sorts and melt a hole in the bottle and then let the coin fall out the hole.

The easy Google answer is to push the cork in and shake the coin out but I have higher expectations for NS

Definitely have to hold the bottle out at arm's length and simply release it. By releasing it you are not breaking the bottle, that's where gravity comes into play. Gravity pulls the bottle down until it hits the ground, gravity breaks the bottle. You then remove the coin from the mess gravity created.

This next one I kinda came up with. You can still try and use google to help you if you want though.

Hint: The metal floats in mid air while Heating up.
